PAPER AIRPLANE ACTIVITY Here s a fun way to kick off a discussion on the body of Christ, the church, or spiritual gifts. This active and exciting game is a simple yet effective way to show how the various parts of the body must work together in order to accomplish a common goal. Students will be randomly assigned one of the parts of the body listen below. RIGHT HANDS: Raise and wave their right hands. (Everyone born in January and February) LEFT HANDS: Raise and wave their left hands. (Everyone born in March and April) RIGHT FEET: Hop on their right foot. (Everyone born in May and June) LEFT FEET: Hop on their left foot. (Everyone born in July and August) MOUTHS: Yell (Everyone born in September and October) TORSOS: Do the twist. (Everyone born in November and December) When the signal is given, each person performs the motion for his or her part of the body in an attempt to attract other body parts and for a complete, six-person body. No other talking is allowed during this part of the game. Kids must form a group of six a complete body, including a right and left hand, a right and left foot, a mouth, and a torso. After the group of six is together, the two feet carry one of the hands to the stage where the hand picks up a blank piece of paper. The hand still being carried by the feet takes the paper back to the group where the mouth instructs the hands to fold a paper airplane. The hands can only use the hand that they are, LEFT or RIGHT. Once the plane is folded, the feet carry the other hand to the back of the room where the hand will launch their paper airplane in the air. Jeff Larson - All Rights Reserved
