We give thanks unto the God of our salvation. There's no other name given under heaven whereby we are to be saved. We honored mothers and fathers, so now we give thanks to God for the children. They are gifts from the Lord. Our duties are to rear them in the fear of God. The word of God contains so many great Bible verses about children. Anyone raising c h i l d r e n k n o w s h o w difficult things can get and also what blessings children are. It's so very important that we follow God's rules. In these last days we need all of the help and prayers we can get. Today, is nothing like it was when we were growing up. Schools, society, and churches have changed from what the Lord requires and are no longer acknowledging God. God has chosen us that we may command our children and household -after us- to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteously and justly that the Lord will be pleased. We are to always remember to do our very best to pour into them. Every single life, every single child, is a reward and blessing. They bring us pride and joy through teaching us how to have more patience and forgiveness for the growth of His Kingdom here on earth. The Lord knows that children can bring us closer to Him and help grow our character. All of our children should be taught by the Lord and great will be their peace. So let us be careful and welcome the children in the name of the Lord. This pleases God. We are not to despise one of these little ones. The Bible tells us the angels in heaven always watch over them. We must be careful not to cause one of them who believe in God to stumble. It would be better for us to have a large millstone hung around our neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea. Amen. And said, Verily I say unto you, Exce pt ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. -Matthew 18:3 V I S I T U S! 5756 Zachary Taylor Highway Mineral, Virginia 23117 www.templeofdeliverancehcg.org

A Word from Our Editor by: Sis. Marilyn Silver Praise the Lord dear readers. Are you ready for the hot summer weather? This is the time of year we deal with sweltering temperatures and fires burning out of control in dry areas. It's a hot season, a fiery season. I would like to discuss another type of fire. A fire that burns up everything that's not like God. It sweeps through the hearts and souls of humanity and destroys the yoke of bondage. It burns up iniquity and all unrighteousness. There is no need to call 911 or the Fire Department, because this fire knows what to burn and it knows what to leave intact. I'm referring to the Fire of the Holy Ghost! I wish that someone's soul would catch on Fire and burn with Holy Ghost. This Fire will burn on the inside, but you can see the results on the outside. The marks left proves that a rampant FIRE has swept through the place. It's not the soot, dust remnants, or sin that's noticeable, but when this Fire burns - it leaves a residue of fruit: obedience, love, patience, longsuffering and meekness (to name a few). The world can see that a Fire has changed our lives and our appearances. The Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 23:28 (KJV), "Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?" Let us surrender to the Word of God. Be hot or cold, lest God will spew us out of His mouth. It is commanded that we live a God-pleasing life, if we desire to see the Lord in peace. Happy "Fire" of July...today and always. Catch on Fire, be set Free and burn with the Holy Ghost. God bless you. Temple Elders Speak Praise the Lord. Giving thanks unto the Lord for He is good and His mercy endureth forever. We are appreciative for a time to give thanks for our independence and for living in a country with freedom and liberties. We honor those who sacrificed so much and gave their lives to gain this freedom. We B a p t i s m by: Clinton Porter, Sr. glorify our Lord Jesus Christ for dying on the cross for our sins. Jesus made it possible that we can live free from sin. The word of God tells us that whom the son set free is free indeed. So we must stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free. May God continue to bless us all as we celebrate our independence and freedom. It all comes from God. Thank the Lord for this beautiful sister, JaKarra Trei Alyssa Brown Johnson. She was buried in water, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 18th. Elder Clinton Porter, Sr. shared with her the word of God through prayer and counseling. Deacon Joseph Jackson and Elder Porter baptized her as she made a public stand for the Lord. Please keep her in your prayers and encourage her to spend time in the Word as she continues her walk with the Lord. May God bless and keep his arms of love and protection around her and her family. Temple Men Speak...by: Deacon Bobby Carter Praise the Lord Saints. How good it is to know the Lord. He loves us. John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. I am so blessed to be saved by Jesus love. We know that everyday testing times are coming. But, the Word of the Lord says, If God be for us who can be against us? Matthew 18:11 states, For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. Now, we know that we can t save ourselves, but the love of Jesus has saved us. What a great love God has for us!! Be blessed everybody. Spring Revival April 5th -7th What a time, what a time! Jesus Christ poured out His Spirit upon us during the Spring Revival. Our souls were blessed, revived and set free. Bishop W. Michael Fields, of Greater Refuge Temple of Washington DC, was our guest speaker. He brought forth the word of God each night with power and the anointing of Jesus Bishop Michael Fields Christ. Testimonies, songs of praise and worship filled the Temple. Saints and friends came from far and near. We were glad when they said unto us, Let us go into the house of the Lord. A sweet fellowship inspired us to press on and keep our focus on the Lord. Temple Women Speak by: Mother Joyce Rock Awake: to become alert. To rouse from sleep, waken. Vigilant, watchful. Ephesians 5:14, Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. We are encouraged to be watchful (alert) at all times that we be not deceived by the enemy who comes to steal, to kill and destroy. But, being children of light, we are reminded of the word of God in 1 Thessalonians 5:6 which says, Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. Romans 13:11, And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. If we pay attention to current events we know the time is winding up. We must stay alert and vigilant in our walk with Christ. We are encouraged to give attendance to prayer, bible reading (study) and meditation daily. Allow our God to restore our hope today. He has plans to prosper us and not harm us. Heavenly Father, please keep us FOCUSED on your will in Jesus name. Amen!! Temple Youth Speak Submitted by: Bro. Marcus Orr Use your calling because you never know who you are going to bless. O R N E R A R E G I V E R S Care-giving, "Pleasant Places"? During my family care-giving days, the book of Psalms in the Old Testament of the Bible became especially meaningful to me. It continues to be so in my days as a widow. Recently in my devotions, I was again reading Psalm 16. It is a beautiful Psalm filled with rich truths and promises. This Psalm speaks to my heart in many ways. Psalm 16 talks about the fact that there is no good thing outside of the Lord. So often we run after things and possessions to try to fill up the empty places in our hearts. Things and even relationships can be good in themselves, but without the Lord in our lives they are meaningless. Without the Lord they lead to frustration and dead-ends. Yet with the Lord in our lives even the trials can turn into blessings. As my devotional for Psalm 16 pointed out, God allows all our unique circumstances for a reason. These circumstances shape who we are as people. They also affect how we uniquely serve God and minister to others. I know everything that happened to me since I was a child and now as an adult affects both my personality and my relationship with God and others. Trust too, dear care-giver, that the Lord will counsel and instruct you step by step in the whole care-giving experience and in the years beyond. So you need "not be shaken (Psalm 16:7-8)." There are many times when I have felt shaken and felt panic about life's situations. Yet, I know that there is a no need for it. When I remind myself of God's promises to always be with me, much Posted by Sharon http://christiancaregiving.blogspot.com/2017/06/ calmness can return. Also, in the loneliness of those care-giving days of my past, the Lord was there to comfort me. He is also there for me in my days as a widow. On top of that He promises me joy in this life and in eternity (Psalm 16:11). So yes, dear caregiver, if you are a child of God, you have God's promise of "pleasant places" and a "delightful inheritance." (Another translation of the Bible says "beautiful inheritance.") Trust Him in the challenging and painful moments. Trust that He knows what He is doing. Trust that He is using you now in powerful ways and will also do so in the future. He has assigned you your "portion and cup (Psalm 16:5), and He will use it in service to Him and others and for your spiritual and emotional good. Thank You! We greatly appreciate the many readers just like yourself, who have contributed to the Newsletter with your prayers, encouragements and monetary blessings!
