The nativity statues were provided by Father Martin. We thank him for letting us use them for Christmas. The parish office had numerous compliments on how beautiful both the inside and outside of the Church looked and how tastefully it was done. Your compliments are greatly appreciated. We hope everyone had a blessed and joyous Christmas season. Giving Tree Thank You Our Giving Tree this year was a great success! Thanks to everyone who donated a gift, gift card or cash. Many toys and games and blankets were delivered by the St. Vincent DePaul Society to Circle of Concern for their family gift day. The parish also contributed $300 in gift cards and $340 in cash. One very generous individual donated $1000 for Walmart and Target gift cards. The people at Circle of Concern were very pleased with the generosity of St. E s parish. Note: Any gift that came in after the cutoff was taken to Circle of Concern and will be given to children for their birthdays. If you would like to claim your donation as a charitable tax deduction, there are receipts at the parish office. Thanks again for your continued support of our Christmas charity. Look for information for 2015 in the bulletin in early November. Happy New Year!

Christion Unity Ecumenical Prayer Service and Reception January 25, 2015 Sunday evening at 7:00 PM. St. Justin Martyr Parish (11910 Eddie & Park Road, Sunset Hills, MO 63126) At least once a year, Christians are reminded of Jesus prayer for his disciples that they may be one so that the world may believe (see John 17.21). Hearts are touched and Christians come together to pray for their unity. Congregations and parishes all over the world exchange preachers or arrange special ecumenical celebrations and prayer services. The event that touches off this special experience is the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. This year s St Louis Ecumenical service is being held at our very own St Justin Martyr Parish. This year we will be honored to have the presence of three denominations under one roof, preaching together the word of God. Roman Catholic St Louis Archbishop Robert J. Carlson, St Louis Episcopal Bishop Wayne Smith and a representative from the ELCA Lutheran Central States Synod Bishop Roger R. Gustafson. All faiths are welcome and encouraged to attend this amazing prayer event and reception. Sponsored by the Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs
