Finding Life and Joshua Families Video Series Video Series 2 The Light and Life How Are We to Live Part 2 Hi and welcome back if you have viewed any of the previous videos. My name is Tim Spiess and I am serving as a guide to help people find the greatest purpose of life which is to make life good and right for as many people as can receive it. Last time, we began looking as perhaps the most important aspect of this journey which is how does the Creator and his Messenger say we ought to be living our lives? We need faith in order to even consider this, since faith is required in order to know the Creator exists and to believe that his sole Messenger to mankind is Joshua of Nazareth. People without faith have their conscience, their traditions, and their emotions with which guide them. Of course, since those without faith in Messenger will generally not be able to overcome pride, fear and selfishness, they will ultimately chose to live in a way that maximizes what they like or want, irrespective if it is harmful or detrimental to others. So last time, we saw how religious people that is people who believe God exists but who don t listen to the Creator s Messenger choose to make many religious rules by which they endeavor to keep. They make rules about what kind of clothes they think God likes and what kind of food they think God likes and what day s God wants people to sing songs about Him, and how their religious meeting are to be ordered, and many other such trivial and unimportant matters that do not address what really matters, which is, how should we be living our lives. In essence, we learned that mankind s religions specialize in things that don t matter, so they can avoid the things that do. Please let me repeat that We also learned the basic things that are required in order to live according to what God wants of human beings. We learned that we need leadership, and that Joshua of Nazareth is to be our only Leader the soul standard and authority we look to in order to know how to live our lives. This does not mean that there are no human leaders involved in bringing to pass groups of people

living God s way. It does mean, however, that the human leaders lead primarily by example and do not exercise authority over others, but rather use truth to guide. We learned that if we truly love others that is we have compassion on them and want to help them that we will want to be with them and that we will share all that we have with them. Finally, we learned that we will truly care about what is true, and what is false, what is right and what is wrong, and we will endeavor to address those things as important work in our lives. And, of course the solution to mankind s problems is having the right Leader, and thus our primary work will be to try and convince other people to adopt Joshua of Nazareth as their Leader. Please allow me to repeat those basic or fundamental aspects of what it means to have faith in the Father Joshua of Nazareth reveals and what it means to follow him. Finally, we reviewed the new command of Joshua of Nazareth and looked at the primary obstacles that get in the way of seeing the new command lived out in people s lives. We saw that natural and legal family was a major barrier to obeying Joshua s new command to actually love one another. Of course, religion is the other major barrier to people seeing what it means to truly follow the Light of the world. The great counterfeit or substitute of bible or Christian religion captures the multitudes in a snare most will never escape. So let us continue to examine this extremely important topic of how we, the followers of Joshua, ought to be living our lives. Let review the normal process of what Joshua says must happen in order for people to get to the place of wanting to live the way he says we ought. Step one, or first, we must have faith in Joshua and his Father. Faith is not intellectual in nature faith is not religious beliefs we can repeat on a test or that we agree to believe in order to join a religious organization. Rather faith is actual trust and confidence in the Father Joshua reveals and thus there will be words and actions associated with real faith even faith as great as a mustard seed. We enter into faith by seeing our need by hearing the Light s truths and then understanding how our pride and fear and selfishness have caused us to harm, hurt, use, take 2

from, not care about other people in our lives or that we encountered in our life. At that point, we are born from above we move from spiritual death to spiritual life our spirits, which died when we were teenagers through unfaith, is made alive again. Our spirit is what enables our faith to connect with our Creator, Joshua s Father we cross from spiritual death, to spiritual life. Step two, we learn to have a new leader in our lives we learn to transfer the leadership of our life from one person often ourselves to another, that is Joshua. We learn from our new Leader, Joshua, to understand him and to know him and his Father. This is a life-long process, but it is crucial that it starts right when we are made alive again. The largest error that is made is that people listen to people other than Joshua to understand God and what God wants this is a fatal error that causes many, many people to be lost in religion. Step three, we need a new family who also has faith and has made Joshua their Leader so that the new command can be obeyed. A person cannot have more than one primary leader in our lives, and our new leader says we need to care for one another. When a person transitions from faithlessness and lovelessness, to faith and love, things change significantly. When we speak our faith and repeat the truths of our new Leader, people will react in one of three ways. First, they will reject us, which is the normal course. Generally, they will give us an ultimatum of either not speaking about our new leader, or asking us to leave them or they leaving us. Again, this is both normal and necessary and is a mark of those who have real faith, versus those who just have religious beliefs. Second, they will try to ignore us and our new Leader. This is a variation on rejecting us, but it is more subtle and nuanced. This places the responsibility on the follower of Joshua to leave and not support the delusion that Joshua is irrelevant. Third, they will listen to us and also become a follower of Joshua. This is not the norm and is quite rare, since Joshua says that not many will become his followers. Step four, the followers of Joshua find each other, start obeying the new command, and start changing the world, or stated another way, start changing the people they encounter. The disciples or students of Joshua start to do his work with the power that comes with unity and the actual living out of people truly loving one another based not on the flesh or on the law, but out of faith and a common love for our Father and our Master. OK, let us sum up those four basis steps again. 3

Step one, we leave no-faith and we enter into faith we are born from above, our spirit comes alive, and we submit to a new Leader, Joshua of Nazareth we go from spiritual death to spiritual life, and we change in significant ways. Step two, we start to get to know our new Master and Father by reading our Master s words in the first four books of what men label the new testament. Step three, we seek out our new Family, or we build one ourselves. We cannot be followers of Joshua and disobey his new command, nor can we fulfill his new command by playing a religious game called church, which game is shallow, pretentious, ignores Joshua and thus does not amount to actually loving one another or caring about what is true and right. Step four, the work begins in earnest, as the Family of followers of the Light have his love and unity and truth motivating them to go out and introduce others to our Father and make new manifestations of the Family of love. Again, the primary characteristic of the followers of Joshua is we seek to obey him and particularly what he identified as the new command. As has been noted elsewhere, there was only one instruction or directive directly given by Jesus of Joshua of Nazareth where he use the term command, and it was this: A new command I give to you, that you love one another as I have loved you. For this is how the people of the earth will know you are my followers, IF you love or care for one another. This is the key distinctive of the true followers of Joshua, the Light of the world. We will care for each other in daily life we will be a part of his Family acting as true brothers and sisters would we will not be with people who do not believe nor listen to the Creator s Messenger we will be the city on the hill where the world s people can see how people ought to be and live. Our highest priority in life will not be money or careers or educations or anything else the world values rather it will be bringing the solution to mankind s problems by first living it out ourselves. Please allow me to repeat that. 4

Dear viewer, as Joshua often said, do you have ears to hear? In other words, will you take action with this information, or will you do nothing? Ok, so let s take a look at some characteristics of Joshua s family. A primary difference between the followers of the Light and the Family group they are a part of, and all the groups of people that exist in the world, is that the Family of Joshua wants to welcome others into the Family freely, with the sole purpose of seeing them experience the Father s love and the freedom that Joshua offers there is no selfish motivation to the true family. All other groups in the world either set foolish standards for membership, which standards look to exclude certain people they consider unworthy by things of the flesh. Or the members are looking to get from other members, instead of to give to members. Please think hard about this for a bit to validate its truth. While you may have never experienced people living by the selfless love of Joshua s Father and thus find it hard to understand, you certainly should be able to understand the normal way of the world which way is to exclude and to take and to get. Again, contrast this to the way of compassion and selfless behavior. Furthermore, the contrast between an organization and a Family is significant. There is the way of money and power, and there is the way of love. The organizations which call themselves the church operate the same way as other organizations of the world. They require money and authority in order to operate. The religious organization is a business. It has its revenue that comes in the form of donations from its members, which donations are motivated largely by religious law, rule, fear or guilt. It has its leaders who exercise authority over the employees or staff and the members or customers. It has its various services or programs whose main purpose is to grow its revenue base and thus expand its influence and power over more and more people. The more people who submit to the organization s leaders, the more money and power is gained by that organization s leadership. Look at the money and power the roman catholic system wields. Look at the money and power other quote successful religious organizations wield. Finally and sadly, look at how those organizations do not do what Joshua of Nazareth says. Instead, they use him as their figurehead to wield their power over the masses, which power is primarily motivated by fear of angering the vengeful God of hell that they represent in their teachings. Contrast this to a Family of Joshua. The family members are motivated by love. There is no compulsion or threat to be a part of the family. We don t hold hell or punishment over people s 5

heads, because God doesn t send people to hell nor does he punish them rather, we send ourselves to the consequences of our own words and the behaviors of our lives. In contrast to religion s schizophrenic God he loves me, he is send you to hell, he loves me, he is sending him to hell, he loves us, he is going to execute vengeance on you all - Joshua s Father is a compassionate being, looking to save and redeem all men s lives, not to destroy them. God does not take sides. He does not have his people in the sense he favors one religious group over another. He is certainly more pleased with people who listen to him and thus do what his Son says, than those who do not but he does not hate those who do not, nor is he angry with them rather, he is simply sad for the Life they are throwing away with their unfaith and their lack of love. If there are people that make God angry, it is those who misrepresent Him and push fear instead of love those who use him to gain money and power in the world and those who take from and harm other people. Joshua s family does not need money from its family members, but we do need love and truth. Joshua s family does not need leaders, because we already have a leader. Joshua s family members do not need teachers, because we already have a Teacher. What we do need is love from one another. Love to help heal the hurt we receive by the rejection of those who reject the Light and thus reject us. Our love for one another is particularly strong and binding due to being rejected by those don t want to listen to Joshua nor do what he says. We don t look to get from one another, but to give and we deeply appreciate each other. We don t seek to meet on some frequency because we love each other and are involved in each other s lives on a daily basis, doing our Father s work, sharing all that we have with one another. Since true love means we want to be with those we love, when someone chooses to love and appreciate us back, we join together we become companions in this life we enter into a sharing of his Life with one another. Then two becomes three, and so on. Those who come from a place of fear will say things to us like, oh, you think we have to live in communes? They say this because they don t understand true love, but rather are stuck in a place of pride or fear or selfishness that will prevent them from loving others. They simply cannot process the new command of the Light of the world. Can you, dear viewer? 6

Each of us have been given a life to live. Each of us will choose what we do with that life. Please understand that we were given life by God. Please understand that God want people to love each other and to care about and do what is right. Please understand that you are either part of the problem or part of the solution. There is no neutral way or ground. Take a look at the world without a positive thinking philosophy filter on. Can you not see that people operate on the basis of pride, fear and selfishness, and that that way of living our lives is cold and destructive? Can you connect the dots? Can you see that if you don t let love motivate you, then you should realize that you will face consequences for the way you choose to live your life? We each choose our after death destiny. If we choose the Light and his love, we are choosing a destiny of light and love and life. If we choose to remain in the darkness of pride, fear and selfishness, then we are choosing a destiny of darkness and lovelessness and death. Does that not make sense? Is that not true? Is that not right? Is that not just? Next time, we will conclude with more details on how we should be living our lives as followers of the Light of the world. Until next time, be real, get past the shallowness and pretentiousness of typical American life especially religious life and seek deeper, to find what you truly need. 7
