Momentum affects the success of deas, products, groups, styles, poltcs, and even relgon. It offers an explanaton of Jesus' statement n John 14:12-14 that belevers would do greater thngs than he dd. Greater, perhaps not n the awe-nducng mracles and teachngs of Jesus, or n hs ncomparable sacrfce, but n expandng reach. A new Chrstan, another, more yet, thousands, mllons, all the results of a movement begun two mlenna ago wth one to one mnstry endeavors that quckly became non-lnear, multplyng, not just addng. LATM, n the mdst of our 25th year of mnstry through Chrst-centered books, s helpng more mssons and natonal mnstres n more countres, publsh more books n more languages, to put valuable knowledge and encouragement nto the hands of more people n more communtes than ever. The number of LATM books gong to work worldwde has clmbed steadly, and our prayers and energes are drected at small "pushes" that wll add to that momentum for the sake of the Gospel. As wth a chld on a swng, the effect of momentum can be alarmng. We are thrlled to be part of the endless stores of fath and redempton that our two-mllon-plus books have helped spark. Yet, these are lofty heghts for us. So we ask, how much further can ths mnstry grow? Wll more people and churches see the explosve potental of Bblebased books n heart languages, and add lttle pushes to our current momentum? Wll our supporters, whose partcpaton generated ths momentum, be able to push agan and agan? The need for books keeps ncreasng, as do the opportuntes to supply them. If the momentum can match the need, we wll see at least one way that the church can do greater thngs than Jesus dd!

In a recent emal, Safaa relayed one example of what books can do. Here s the story: The translator of Dr. Jack Cottrell s Commentary on Romans preferred to wrte out the text by hand as he translated t from Englsh to Arabc. The person who then entered ths Arabc manuscrpt nto the computer had a nomnal Chrstan background where he had not heard much about the grace of God. At one pont durng the tme when he was typng n the Arabc translaton of ths commentary on Romans, he called Safaa on the phone, and he sounded as though he were cryng. Safaa asked, What s the matter? Lsten to hs response: I have just dscovered the heart of my Chrstan lfe. I have spent 68 years tryng hard to lve the good lfe, and stll I felt gulty and unworthy. But now, after I read ths commentary on Romans, I have dscovered the real meanng of GRACE, and that released me and took away all the mountans of fear and gult. Now I can sleep n peace. Phlp Ngwapha teaches at a Lsu Bble college and effectvely communcates the Word of God to hs fellow Lsu. Ths s the nnth (!) book by ths dear servant of God that LATM has sponsored. Thefuna was born n 1935, sat at the feet of Chrstan Church poneer mssonary J. Russell Morse, and began workng wth the church n 1953. Hs mnstry has focused on establshng and nurturng churches, and teachng n short-term Bble schools. He s a gfted teacher and preacher. Thefuna compled these hand-wrtten sermons n notebooks over several decades, wth the hope that they would be an encouragement, and a helpful resource for other teachers and preachers. He expressed hs thanks to the those who encouraged hm to complete ths project, the team at North Burma Chrstan Msson for typng and preparng the manuscrpt, and LATM for provdng the funds. It s a collecton of works by several authors. Correspondence Bble Study program has been run by Warsaw Chrstan Bble Insttute snce 1984. About 100 students take part n t every year. Ths book was developed as a result of studes and dscussons that took place as Serge led and nteracted wth members of ths unque forum. MUSLIMIIN IYO MASIIXIYIIN WADA HADLAYA/WADA XAAJOONAYA Ibrahm Abdur-Rahman SWAHILI God s Plan of Salvaton by Paul Hghfeld Paul wrtes: Ths book s a straght forward presentaton of the major scrptures on the plan of salvaton, ncludng God's overall plan, the fall of man, who Jesus s, belef n Jesus, repentance, confesson and baptsm. There s a secton on countng the cost. It has already been prnted n Maasa but we wanted to get t translated and prnted nto Kswahl. Kswahl s used n the schools nstead of Maasa, so I am hopng that some of these books can be used n the schools n Maasa land. I hope to help those n Maasa land who do not know Maasa very well, and even other places lke Narok town and Ewaso Ng'ro. Ths may be of use to some of our fellow Chrstans n Turkana n northern Kenya. UKRAINIAN The Bble and Logc: Foundatons for Rght Thnkng by Serge Golovn and Olexy Panych The Bble and Ethcs: Foundatons for Rghteous Lfe by Serge Golovn These two books, prnted n Ukrane n late December, take ther place alongsde the earler publshed The Bble and Poltcs: Foundatons for a Just Socety, and form a set. About The Bble and Logc Serge says: Logc was not a part of the currculum n the communst educatonal system except n the specal phlosophy department. That was a strategy to keep Chrstans unarmed and defenseless n the athests battle aganst God. The tme has come to brdge that gap. The book, by two natonal authors, has a goal of tranng Chrstan preachers, teachers, mnsters, evangelsts, etc., n scence and the art of usng logc to demolsh arguments and every pretenson that sets tself up aganst the knowledge of God, and to take captve every thought to make t obedent to Chrst (2 Cor 10:5) for the effectve spreadng of the Good News of Jesus. And about The Bble and Ethcs: Most belevers n the former Sovet Unon are frst generaton Chrstans. They love God and want to do what s good, followng Hs wll. However, the deas wth whch several generatons were branwashed by athestc propaganda de hard. We have publshed a good book on Chrstan ethcs by Holmes and we are gong to publsh another one by Nullens. But there s stll a need for a book that s not so academc and more practcal, that would provde Bblcal gudelnes n ther everyday walk wth Jesus n a world that constantly requres moral decsons.
