Christ Moravian Church March 2017 FELLOWSHIP MESSENGER Dave s Devotional During the season of Lent, Pastor Marcus will be offering another Lenten Bible Study following worship. This study is based upon the new book by Adam Hamilton entitled, Creed - What Christians Believe and Why. Some might say that we are all searching for answers in life. Sometimes the search is easy: simply type a question into a search engine on our computer, phone, or tablet and the answer pops up. However sometimes our questions are complicated, and the answers are difficult to see and harder to articulate. How do we discover and examine the truths that give meaning and purpose to life? Some powerful answers are contained in the Apostles Creed, an early statement of foundational Christian beliefs. In our study we will explore important questions of life, reality, and truth. We will explore not only what we as Christians believe, but also why we believe it and why it matters. Over five weeks we will cover these following topics based upon the Apostles Creed. They are: God Jesus Christ The Holy Spirit The Church and the Communion of Saints The Forgiveness of Sins The Resurrection of the Body Our sessions will begin on the 2nd Sunday of Lent, March 12th and continue through Palm Sunday, April 9th. We will once again seek volunteers to provide a lunch for our group participants. I will be preparing lunch on March 12th. On March 19th, Carol Wade and Carol Johnson will provide lunch. There is a Youth Lunch on March 26th. We are still in need of volunteers to prepare lunch for April 2nd and April 9th. A sign up sheet is located on the Church Family Life Bulletin Board. We hope you will make plans to participate in this meaningful study during our Lenten Season! With the joy of serving Christ together, The Rev. Dr. David A. Marcus, Jr. ========================================= Great Sabbath Great Sabbath is April 15.
