Vacation Bible School was GREAT! Thank you to all the people that helped make Workshop of Wonders a wonderful week for so many kids! Thanks to Ken Geib for preparing all the delicious food! Thanks to all our new friends at Free At Last for their help! Thanks to all the folks that helped with donating, decorating, preparing, serving, driving and supporting the VBS program! Thanks especially to the many teachers and helpers that jump in each day to teach god s love to a great group of kids! Sunday School Begins with Rally Day Calling all families!!! Please join us and sign up your kids for this years Sunday School Program. We ll meet after service on Sunday, September 7th in the Fellowship Hall. During this time, the adults can do all the fun paperwork while the kids meet their teachers, check out the Sunday School rooms and do a craft. This school year we are using the Spark Rotational Curriculum which uses Art, Bible Skills and Games, Cooking, Creative Drama, Music, Science, and Video. Widow s Jar/ African Basket The widows jar / African Basket for Sept and Oct is Project Christmas Child. Box Packing day will be in early November but now is the time to gather all the great back-to-school deals on supplies so very needed by the kids who receive the shoeboxes each year. Some ideas are flip flop sandals, t shirts, paper, crayons, pencils (and sharpeners) and any other small safe toys that will fit in a shoebox. God s Work. Our Hands On Sunday, September 7th we will be gathering a group of adults to clean up our Adopt-A-Highway stretch on Hwy. 13. A sign up sheet can be found in the Fellowship Hall. Please be sure to wear long pants, bring gloves and appropriate footwear for this outing. Please see Melanie Wood with questions. Choir Begins on Wednesday, September 3rd Choir practice will begin for the fall on Sept. 3rd at 7:00pm. All singing abilities are welcome to join!
