C h u r c h L i f e U p d a t e s Bake Sale Today: The B.Y.W. is selling baked goods in the hallway outside the fellowship hall this morning to raise funds for this summer s youth mission trip to Belize. New Sermon Series Starts Next Sunday: The pastor s new sermon series Island Visions: A Summer in Revelation starts on Sunday, June 10; with the companion Bible study starting on Wednesday, June 13 at 7 PM in the Fellowship Hall. The first message will come from Revelation 1:1-20. Remember: two books are available from the church office (Breaking the Code by Bruce Metzger [$9.50] and Revelation for Everyone by N.T. Wright [$11]) for those who d like to get an overview of this fascinating book. Shoes that Grow for Chad: Andy and Cari Robertson, our missionaries to Chad, will return to central Africa at the end of June, and we want to send them 50 pairs of The Shoe that Grows to be distributed through their ministry. To meet this goal, we need to raise $400. If you d like to participate, please mark your check or envelope Shoes. Any amount given above the $400 needed will be used for this summer s mission trip to Belize. Game On! Vacation Bible School at Calvary Baptist runs June 24th to 27th from 6 to 8:30 each evening. Grab your megaphones, lace your cleats, and tune your instruments because God wants everyone to Gear Up for Life s Big Game! Join His team, train hard, celebrate salvation, and encourage one another! Anniversary: Lonnie and Rachel Jackson will mark their 65th wedding anniversary on June 6th. Congratulations as they celebrate with family and friends. Thank You: Last Sunday s blood drive collected 24 pints of blood, which will potentially help 72 people. Thanks to all donors and volunteers who helped make this drive a success. Today s sanctuary flowers are placed in honor of Guy Sparger as he celebrates his birthday.

Lindley Williams- Graduating from Mount Airy High School, plans to attend Rhodes College in the fall. Lindley is the daughter of Jay and Beth Williams. Joey McCormick- Graduating from Millennium Charter Academy, plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Asheville in the fall. Joey is the son of Greg and Mary McCormick. Chase Brintle- Graduating from North Surry High School, plans to attend Surry Community College in the fall. Chase is the son of Ricky and Laura Brintle. Simon Cawley- Graduating from Mount Airy High School, plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall. Simon is the son of Jon and Jill Cawley.
