As you re-discover your summer treasures, we invite you to check to see if you have items to share. Please sign the donation list on the Place of Welcome Front Door to indicate availability. Items can be brought to the church at any time. Items to borrow for decor (will be returned please label clearly with your name): Inflatable rafts Oars Rafting equipment (life vests, helmets) Pop up tents Kayak(s) Tarps (blue, green, brown) Items for creating décor, props and crafts: Blue plastic table cloths (roll or individual) Clear plastic (table cloth size) Blue foil/iridescent decorating curtains Rolls of blue cellophane Rolls of brown paper Old metal teaspoons and small forks (dessert size or smaller) Also, check out the SNACK SIGN-UP list on the Front Door for items to be donated for snacks one of the favorite times at VBS each morning!

Women s Ministry Women s Ministry News June 2018 Our mission is to encourage growth and development of women through faithful service in Christ, regular study of scripture and faith in action. Upcoming events: 1. Let-Us Eat Salad Supper: Tuesday, June 5 th at 6:00 PM in the Fireside Lounge. Speaker will be Joel Nostbakken as he shares of his recent CLWR Global Encounter trip to Jordan and the Holy Land. Bring a salad to share and enjoy a wonderful evening. 2. CLWR Packing Day: Tuesday, June 19 th, time TBA. 3. No Bake Sale. Donate money instead of prepare something and/or buying baked goods. Money collected will support several worthwhile causes within and outside the church. Please make cheques payable to Redeemer Lutheran Church and indicate your donation is for Women s Ministry No Bake Sale. 4. Quilt display and blessing, Sunday, June 17 th Bible Study for the month of June (from Gather June 2018 magazine p.20): Let Us Pray. The Paradoxes of Prayer. Life-threatening illness may shuffle our values like a deck of cards. Sometimes a card that has been on the bottom of the deck for most of our lives turns out to be the top card, the thing that really matters. Having watched people sort their cards and play their hands in the presence of death for many years, I would say that rarely is the top card perfection, or possessions, or even pride.
