OUR REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH NEWSLETTER APRIL 2015 PASTOR S LETTER Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, EASTER Who will roll the stone away for us? This was the questions, this was the concern of the women - Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of Jesus, at Salome as they went to anoint Jesus body. Who will roll the stone away? But when they looked up, they say that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled back. Who will roll the stones away? This, too, is probably one question on our minds and hearts. There always seems to be those stones in our lives and sometimes they may seem to be very large. But, I am here to remind us all that our Easter and at Easter we have a Savior, Jesus the Christ, who is about the business of rolling stones away. Yes, and even very large ones - with his love, with his compassion, with his forgiveness, with his life, death, teachings and his Resurrection - because he lives, so shall we live! When we look up to Jesus in our lives, we have each participated in more than this life, we have eternal life in Jesus. Do not be alarmed! You are looking for Jesus who was crucified. HE HAS BEEN RAISED! He is here in the bread that is broken, in the wine that is poured, in the readings that are read, in the Proclamation that is proclaimed, in the peace that is shared! He is here at Our Redeemer, he is Our Redeemer and we know that he lives. So, I look forward to seeing and celebrating with you this Eastertide that God in Christ rolls stones back, even very large ones, and will continue to do so, Let s go and tell that he Jesus is going ahead of you and you will see him just as he told you! Go in Peace and service the Lord and let us all proclaim Thanks be to God. Happy Easter! Pastor Klose STEWARDSHIP REMINDER! This Holy Season is a good time to catch up on ones support of your church and it's shared ministry of service. Please remember this is your parish, your spiritual home and family. It needs your support of time, talents and yes, possessions. (Your financial support) Please be faithful!

Yours in Christ, Susan Smith Day Care News April 2015 March came in like a lion and is continuing its roar of wind and cold. The winter weather just doesn't know when to quit. I have heard that the poor groundhog is being blamed as well as Elsa from Frozen! I just hope that the weather gradually gets warmer and we see true signs of spring soon. When it was not too cold, the teachers bundled up the children and took them out into the fresh air. A nice walk is enjoyed by all. Our month began with a music and movement class with Dr. Pinto, she did an Irish theme. Miss Sabrina from Seaford Library has been visiting us each week to do a Story Hour. This week we learned about bears. We did Yoga with Miss Chris. We have so much fun in her Yogie/Yogurt class, as the kids call it! At Chapel Pastor told us a story about Jesus arriving on Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, and Holy Week. We received Palms to take home. On St. Patrick's Day a leprechaun visited us, playing many tricks and leading us on a quest to find him. He was always one step ahead of us. Although we didn't catch him, he left us treats and our very own gold! What a fun day! Hopefully we will be blessed with some warmer weather in time to celebrate Easter. Stay warm until then! Wishing all of you a Happy Easter! Fondly, Melissa Bires-McGee

Nursery School News April 2015 Spring has arrived on the calendar but we are still anxiously awaiting the warmer weather of this season! Thankfully, with Easter upon us, we were busy "bunnies" during the month of March. At chapel with Pastor on March 25 & 26, we had a visit from Hector the Donkey and palms were distributed. Pastor shared the story of Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem as well as the Last Supper. Children celebrated the miracle of Jesus' Resurrection and enjoyed our annual Easter egg hunt as a symbol of the new life and hope that this holy day represents. The school will be closed April 2 for Easter recess and resume on April 13. Then we return, the color of the month for April is purple. The children will plant seeds to sprout in time for Mother's Day! They will discover the life cycle of the plant. In April, our little ones will also be creating sweet gifts and practicing special songs in honor of Mom, Grandma or another special lady in their lives. Our Mother's Day Teas are May 7 & 8. All of our students will be invited to a NO MORE SNOW DAYS FUN DAY! at Our Redeemer on April 16 or 17. Children will have the opportunity to attend a fun p.m. session on their off day. We will enjoy Chris Patti's Little Drum Cylinder participatory percussion program as well as story time, craft, snack and gym activities. Our school continues to be a fun and inviting place! Wishing the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Congregation a joyous Easter! God Bless! Fondly, Caitlin DiLemme, Director Registration forms for the 2015/2016 school year have been steadily coming in.
