Young Teen (Junior High) Visuals Instruction Booklet Winter Quarter, 2016-2017 Using the visual materials Visuals assist the teacher in presenting the lesson and aid the student in the learning process. The visuals consist of one quarterly theme poster, three unit posters that are simple, colorful reminders of the theme of each unit, thirteen lesson posters and twenty-six photomasters that may be used as overhead transparencies or copied and handed out to the students. The quarterly theme poster should be put up at the beginning of the quarter and left up throughout the quarter. The three unit posters will be placed under the theme poster. Unit posters are to be posted at the beginning of a unit and remain up throughout the quarter with the weekly lesson posters that belong to each unit posted under them. UNIT POSTERS Before beginning a unit of study, place unit posters in a prominent place on the classroom wall under the quarterly theme poster. Allow enough room for the lesson posters that relate to each unit to be placed under the appropriate unit poster. UNIT 1 The four lessons in Unit 1, God the Son came into the world in the flesh of a man that He might redeem man from sin, focus on the necessity of the incarnation of Christ in relation to man s redemption. UNIT 2 The five lessons in Unit 2, The Son of God became our example of godly behavior in our relationships with God and our fellowman, focus on the principles which should determine the basis of a Christian s relationships with God and other people. UNIT 3 The four lessons in Unit 3, Jesus Christ, the God-man, died to reconcile sinful man to the holy God, focus on how Jesus lived as a man so that He could die on the cross to bring sinful man into the presence of God.
