THE KSKJ LIFE VOICE 1 VOLUME 125 NO.11 ISSN 1524-4407 NOVEMBER 2015 A MESSAGE FROM THE HOME OFFICE: A HOLIDAY MESSAGE FROM TONY MRAVLE JR. The Thanksgiving and Christmas season is a time to spend with family and close friends. In the midst of shopping, party planning, house cleaning and traveling, we try our best to slow down long enough to appreciate and love the people we are with. The holidays are also a time to remember those who are no longer with us. The passing of loved ones is a stark reminder of the temporary nature of this life and reminds us of the importance of our faith as part of our traditions. I ll admit to turning on Pandora and singing Christmas carols already at the request of my four-year-old, but before we get too swept up in the busyness of the coming months, I have a few suggestions for us all. Truly give thanks to God for a wonderful life. Thank your spouse for her/his support, love and partnership. Thank your kids for their love, creativity and inspiration. Thank your parents for their example, guidance and mentoring. Share the stories and traditions that give meaning and identity to your family. Remember loved ones and share the values they taught. Share faith traditions and discuss why they are important to you, and consider starting new ones that will help you and your family grow. Make a difference in the lives of others through the gift of your time. Donations are always helpful, and you just may have a transformational experience by personally serving someone else. All of us at KSKJ Life are grateful for the opportunity to be part of an organization that takes care of people, from providing financial products that afford security to families, to the works of charity and volunteerism performed for the benefit of our local communities across our great country. We give thanks to our members, agents, lodge leaders and Home Office staff for partnering together to serve each other and a world in need. May God continue to bless all of you and your loved ones this Thanksgiving and Christmas! Warm Regards, TONY MRAVLE, JR.
