Prayers on his behalf are solicited. (Spokane District Telegram February 1967) BRANCH COMMUNICATION MEDIA STARTED The new church year has seen some impressive steps taken in the Spokane District to improve communications and awareness of the total church program within branches. Two branches deserve commendation for the high quality of their new branch newspapers or newsletters. Sagle Branch and Lewis-Clark Branch have both started such publications under the direction of pastors Elbert Gunter and Frank Wilcox. Other branches and missions have relied on printed orders of service and pastors letters to provide written communications. Richard Curtis, branch president of Audubon Terrace, has started sending periodic pastoral letters to all members, weekly church programs with announcements of coming events to absent members, and a birthday card to each member at the time of his birthday. Southside Branch s pastor, Tom Sylvester, has published excellent pastoral letters and bulletins to keep in touch with all members. 1970-1979 (SDOY Newsletter April 1970) CHURCH MEMBER IS VICTIM IN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT Patrick Gunter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley (Lois) Gunter, received a cut over one eye and other minor injuries when the car that he was driving was hit head-on by another vehicle just a little over a mile from his home in Sagle, Idaho.
