If you are a new visitor, we would enjoy knowing a little about you, so please complete a Contact Card that you will find in the pew pocket in front of you and place it in the offering plate. Hearing receivers and large print hymnals are available from the ushers. Board of Trustees meeting, Tue., Nov. 7 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 3/4. Please join us Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary for Vespers, a casual communion service lasting about 45 minutes. Our speaker will be Liz Racicot. All are welcome! The Ladies Lunch Bunch will meet Thu., Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. at Manda Le. Please call Jeanette Forsyth, 378-2118 to make your reservation. All ladies of the church are invited. United Methodist Women will be hosting a Happy Hour of Giving meeting Thu., Nov. 9 th from 4-6 pm in Fellowship Hall. This meeting will kick off our yearly project for items to fill Christmas boxes for our homebound church members. A basket for your donations will be available Nov. 10 in the Sanctuary Lobby plus a sign up sheet for decorated Christmas cookies to be included in the box will be next to the basket. Sierra Vista United Methodist Women will be having a jewelry sale next Sunday, Nov. 12 between services and after the 10:30 service in Fellowship Hall. We will have a lovely selection of Thanksgiving and Christmas jewelry. Think ahead to Christmas giving or just treat yourself. All proceeds go to mission projects. Thanksgiving is fast approaching and that means our Annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service and Pie Fest, 2017 is on the way! This year, our service will be on TUESDAY, November 21st at 6:00pm. SVUMC s trained Early Response Team members are assembling cleaning supply kits to be sent to UMCOR. Visit their table in the Worship Center lobby for more information or contact Rev. Jeanne Festa, Zhenya Knoche or Gary Larson. You may instead choose to contribute $65 per kit through the church or directly to UMCOR designated as: Material Resources Advance #901440.
