GREAT VIGIL ON THE SOLEMNITY OF THE SACRED HEART AND FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE HEART To be witnessses of Eucharistic Love with all of our lives, like the Blessed Mother! LOVING THE EUCHARISTIC HEART AT THE SCHOOL OF THE HEART OF MARY Catholics worldwide have been asked to mark the sixtieth anniversary of Pope Benedict XVI s ordination to the priesthood with sixty hours of Eucharistic prayer for vocations. The pope will celebrate his anniversary on June 29, the Solemnity of St. Peter and Paul. In honor of his anniversary, the Vatican Congregation for Clergy suggested Catholic clergy and faithful be invited to participate in Eucharistic Adoration with the intention of praying for the sanctification of the clergy and for the gift of new and holy priestly vocations. Dioceses nationwide are planning special prayers before the Blessed Sacrament in June, offered continuously or across various days in the month. Celebrations might conclude July 1, the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the World Day of Prayer for Priests. This year we, the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary, in communion of hearts with all of you, offer our yearly All night Vigil of Eucharistic Adoration in Honor of the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart, uniting to this special intention of the Holy Father. May this be our gift of love to the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, to the Immaculate and Maternal Heart of Mary, and to the petrine heart of our Holy Father Benedict XVI. HOLY MASS IN HONOR OF THE SACRED HEART ALL NIGHT ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary

Prayer written by HH Benedict XVI for the world wide Rosary for priests, 2011 Lord Jesus Christ, eternal High Priest, you offered yourself to the Father on the altar of the Cross and through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit gave your priestly people a share in your redeeming sacrifice. Hear our prayer for the sanctification of our priests. Grant that all who are ordained to the ministerial priesthood may be ever more conformed to you, the divine Master. May they preach the Gospel with pure heart and clear conscience. Let them be shepherds according to your own Heart, single-minded in service to you and to the Church and shining examples of a holy, simply and joyful life. Through the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary, your Mother and ours, draw all priests and the flocks entrusted to their care to the fullness of eternal life where you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen. PRIMERA HORA DE ADORACIÓN AL SS /FIRST HOUR OF ADORATION 10:00 PM This Holy Hour is dedicated for new and holy vocations to the Priesthood: for an increase of love in their hearts for the Eucharist. We particularly pray for all seminarians to be men of the Eucharist in all of their lives!. Scripture Passage: Mt 9:37-38 "Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest." John Paul II, Apostolic Exhortation, Pastores Dabo Vobis, 23 and 48 48. This explains the essential importance of the Eucharist for the priest's life and ministry and, as a result, in the spiritual formation of candidates for the priesthood. "It is fitting that seminarians take part every day in the eucharistic celebration, in such a way that afterward they will take up as a rule of their priestly life this daily celebration. They should, moreover, be trained to consider the eucharistic celebration as the essential moment of their day, in which they will take an active part and at which they will never be satisfied with a merely habitual attendance. Finally, candidates to the priesthood will be trained to share in the intimate

dispositions which the Eucharist fosters: gratitude for heavenly benefits received, because the Eucharist is thanksgiving; an attitude of self - offering, which will impel them to unite the offering of themselves to the eucharistic offering of Christ; charity nourished by a sacrament which is a sign of unity and sharing; the yearning to contemplate and bow in adoration before Christ, who is really present under the eucharistic species." HH Benedict XVI in his letter in the Year for Priests, June 2009 "The Curé would always remind his faithful that after giving us all he could, Jesus Christ wishes in addition to bequeath us his most precious possession, his Blessed Mother. To the Most Holy Virgin I entrust this Year for Priests. I ask her to awaken in the heart of every priest a generous and renewed commitment to the ideal of complete self-oblation to Christ and the Church. It was a fervent prayer life and his impassioned love of Christ Crucified that enabled John Mary Vianney to grow daily in his total self-oblation to God and the Church." Santo Rosario-Holy Rosary: Luminous Mysteries Meditations based on Apparitions of Our Lady in Fatima. Invocation to Our Lady and a saint priest at end of decade. Time of Prayerful Silence before the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Consecration of priests to the Immaculate Heart of Mary SEGUNDA HORA DE ADORACIÓN AL SS /SECOND HOUR OF ADORATION 11:00 PM For an increase of many and holy vocations to religious life. That women religious, spouses of Christ, may be totally given in undivided love for the Eucharistic Heart. That all religious may be, like Our Lady, women of the Eucharist in all of their lives! Scripture Passage: Mt 28, 9 "The women approached Him, embraced his feet and worshipped Him" John Paul II, Apostolic Exhortation, Vita Consecrata: The living image of the Church as Bride 34. In the consecrated life, particular importance attaches to the spousal meaning, which recalls the Church's duty to be completely and exclusively devoted to her Spouse, from whom she receives every good thing. This spousal dimension, which is part of all consecrated life, has a particular meaning for women, who find therein their feminine identity and as it were discover the special genius of their relationship with the Lord.

A moving sign of this is seen in the New Testament passage which portrays Mary with the Apostles in the Upper Room, in prayerful expectation of the Holy Spirit (cf. Acts 1:13-14). We can see here a vivid image of the Church as Bride, fully attentive to her Bridegroom and ready to accept his gift. In Mary the aspect of spousal receptivity is particularly clear; it is under this aspect that the Church, through her perfect virginal life, brings divine life to fruition within herself. The consecrated life has always been seen primarily in terms of Mary Virgin and Bride. This virginal love is the source of a particular fruitfulness which fosters the birth and growth of divine life in people's hearts. Following in the footsteps of Mary, the New Eve, consecrated persons express their spiritual fruitfulness by becoming receptive to the Word, in order to contribute to the growth of a new humanity by their unconditional dedication and their living witness Santo Rosario-Holy Rosary: Joyful Mysteries Meditations based on Apparitions of Our Lady Rosa Mística Invocation to Our Lady and Women religious saints after every decade Time of Prayerful Silence before the Eucharistic Heart Concluding Prayer: Invocation of B. John Paul in Vita Consecrata TERCERA HORA DE ADORACIÓN AL SS /THIRD HOUR OF ADORATION 12:00 AM For an increase in love and dedication to Jesus in the Eucharist. For an increase of participation in Holy Mass and Eucharistic Adoration in all parishes in the whole world. For the "Eucharistic Culture" of Jesus Heart to bring about the triumph of a new civilization of love, truth and life in the heart of the Church and in the heart of the World. Scripture Passage: Jn 6, 51 and Jn 8, 12 "I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world... "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." HH Benedict XVI during the Angelus on June 26, 2011: The Eucharist, the antidote to an individualistic culture. Today, Corpus Christi is being celebrated. It is the Feast of the Eucharist, the Sacrament of the Body and Blood of the Lord, which he instituted at the Last Supper and which is the Church s most precious treasure. The Eucharist is, as it were, the vibrant heart that gives life to the whole mystical body of the Church: a social organism wholly based on the spiritual yet concrete link with Christ. As the

Apostle Paul said: Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread (1 Cor 10:17). Without the Eucharist the Church quite simply would not exist. Indeed, it is the Eucharist which makes a human community into a mystery of communion that can bring God to the world and the world to God. The Holy Spirit, who transforms the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ, also transforms whoever receives it with faith into a member of the body of Christ so that the Church is truly the sacrament of unity, of human beings with God and among themselves. In an ever more individualistic culture, such as the one in which we are immersed in western society and which tends to spread throughout the world, the Eucharist constitutes a sort of antidote that works in the minds and hearts of believers and continually sows in them the logic of communion, service and sharing, in short, the logic of the Gospel. The first Christians in Jerusalem were a visible sign of this new lifestyle, because they lived in brotherhood and shared their possessions so that no one was in need (cf. Acts 2:42-47). What does all this derive from? From the Eucharist, that is, from the Risen Christ, really present in the midst of his disciples and acting with the power of the Holy Spirit. Santo Rosario/Holy Rosary: Misterios Gloriosos /Glorious Mysteries Meditations based on Apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe Invocation to Our Lady after every decade Time of Prayerful Silence before the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Concluding prayer: John Paul II to Our Lady of Guadalupe CUARTA HORA DE ADORACIÓN AL SS /FORTH HOUR OF ADORATION 1:00 AM For all families of the world to make of their homes a sanctuary of love and life; a place of prayer, communion and mission. May all families be centered on the Eucharist and the Word of God and be totally consecrated to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Scripture Passage: Luk 2, 51-52 "He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them; and his mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus advanced (in) wisdom and age and favor before God and man." Letter to the Families, John Paul II, 1996

Prayer in the Family and for families 4. In this Letter I wish to speak not to families "in the abstract" but to every particular family in every part of the world, wherever it is located and whatever the diversity and complexity of its culture and history. The love with which God "loved the world" (Jn 3:16), the love with which Christ loved each and every one "to the end" (Jn 13:1), makes it possible to address this message to each family, as a living "cell" of the great and universal "family" of mankind. Prayer makes the Son of God present among us: "For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them" (Mt 18:20).! Prayer must become the dominant element of the Year of the Family in the Church: prayer by the family, prayer for the family, and prayer with the family. 5. May all families be able to feel the loving and caring embrace of their brothers and sisters! Prayer should first of all be an encouraging witness on the part of those families who live out their human and Christian vocation in the communion of the home. How many of them there are in every nation, diocese and parish! May the prayer of the Church, the prayer of families as "domestic churches", constantly rise up! Santo Rosario-Holy Rosary: Misterios Gozosos Meditations based on Messages of Our Lady of Medjugorje for the family Invocation to Our Lady after every decade and also to married saints Prayerful Silence before the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Prayer for our families written by Marija Luneti, Medjugorje QUINTA HORA DE ADORACIÓN AL SS /FIFTH HOUR OF ADORATION 2:00 AM For all the youth and children of the world, to be catechized and formed in love for the Eucharistic Presence of Jesus, as to grow in a life of virtue, holiness, generosity and self donation. For all children to be totally consecrated to the Immaculate Heart and to cooperate with prayer and offerings in the conversion of the world. Scripture Passage: Mk 10: 14 "Let the children come to me, do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God"

Homily of Bl. John Paul II in the beatification of Jacinta and Francisco Marto: According to the divine plan, "a woman clothed with the sun" (Rv 12: 1) came down from heaven to this earth to visit the privileged children of the Father. She speaks to them with a mother's voice and heart: she asks them to offer themselves as victims of reparation, saying that she was ready to lead them safely to God. The message of Fátima is a call to conversion, alerting humanity to h ave nothing to do with the "dragon" whose "tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth" (Rv 12: 4). In her motherly concern, the Blessed Virgin came here to Fátima to ask men and women "to stop offending God, Our Lord, who is already very offended". It is a mother's sorrow that compels her to speak; the destiny of her children is at stake. For this reason she asks the little shepherds: "Pray, pray much and make sacrifices for sinners; many souls go to hell because they have no one to pray and make sacrifices for them". My last words are for the children: dear boys and girls, I see so many of you dressed like Francisco and Jacinta. Our Lady needs you all to console Jesus, who is sad because of the bad things done to him; he needs your prayers and your sacrifices for sinners. Ask your parents and teachers to enrol you in the "school" of Our Lady, so that she can teach you to be like the little shepherds, who tried to do whatever she asked them. I tell you that "one makes more progress in a short time of submission and dependence on Mary than during entire years of personal initiatives, relying on oneself alone" (St Louis de Montfort). Devoting themselves with total generosity to the direction of such a good Teacher, Jacinta and Francisco soon reached the heights of perfection. May the message of their lives live on forever to light humanity's way! Santo Rosario-Holy Rosary: Sorrowful Mysteries/Misterios Dolorosos Meditations based on Messages of Our Lady of La Sallete Invocation to Our Lady after every decade and saints and blessed children Prayerful Silence before the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Consecration of the children to the Heart of Jesus through the Heart of Mary SEXTA HORA DE ADORACIÓN AL SS /SIXTH HOUR OF ADORATION 3:00 AM For the Power of the Divine Mercy that flows from the Eucharistic and Merciful Heart of Jesus to heal, deliver and restore all the wounds of our

contemporary world and to bring the order of love and peace into the hearts of the men and women of our times. That humanity may be healed and restored under the rays of Divine Mercy. Scripture Passage: Hos 14: 5 "I will heal their faithlessness, I will love them freely" ENCYCLICAL LETTER OF JOHN PAUL II, "RICH IN MERCY", 1980 15. The Church Appeals to the Mercy of God The Church proclaims the truth of God's mercy revealed in the crucified and risen Christ, and she professes it in various ways. Furthermore, she seeks to practice mercy towards people through people, and she sees in this an indispensable condition for solicitude for a better and "more human" world, today and tomorrow. However, at no time and in no historical period-especially at a moment as critical as our own-can the Church forget the prayer that is a cry for the mercy of God amid the many forms of evil which weigh upon humanity and threaten it. Precisely this is the fundamental right and duty of the Church in Christ Jesus, her right and duty towards God and towards humanity. The more the human conscience succumbs to secularization, loses its sense of the very meaning of the word "mercy," moves away from God and distances itself from the mystery of mercy, the more the Church has the right and the duty to appeal to the God of mercy "with loud cries.". Modern man often anxiously wonders about the solution to the terrible tensions which have built up in the world and which entangle humanity. And if at times he lacks the courage to utter the word "mercy," or if in his conscience empty of religious content he does not find the equivalent, so much greater is the need for the Church to utter his word, not only in her own name but also in the name of all the men and women of our time. Sung Chaplet of Mercy with Meditations based on Messages to St. Faustina Prayerful Silence before the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Act of Consecration of JPII of the world to the Divine Mercy SEPTIMA HORA DE ADORACIÓN AL SS /SEVENTH HOUR OF ADORATION 4:00 AM For all those who are suffering and for all the sick, that their sufferings totally united to the power of the Cross and the redeeming fecundity of Christ's pierced Heart, may open fountains of grace and mercy for all humanity. Scripture Passage: Col 1, 24

"In my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the Church Apostolic Letter of John Paul II, "Salvifici Doloris", 1984 13. But in order to perceive the true answer to the "why" af suffering, we must look to the revelation of divine love, the ultimate source of the meaning of everything that exists. Love is also the richest source of the meaning of suffering, which always remains a mystery. IIn order to discover the profound meaning of suffering, following the revealed word of God, we must open ourselves wide to the human subject in his manifold potentiality. We must above all accept the light of Revelation not only insofar as it expresses the transcendent order of justice but also insofar as it illuminates this order with Love, as the definitive source of everything that exists. Love is: also the fullest source of the answer to the question of the meaning of suffering. This answer has been given by God to man in the Cross of Jesus Christ. Santo Rosario-Holy Rosary: Sorrowful Mysteries/Misterios Dolorosos Meditations based on Messages of Our Lady of Lourdes Invocation to Our Lady after every decade and martyrs and saints Prayerful Silence before the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes, JPII OCTAVA HORA DE ADORACIÓN AL SS /EIGHT HOUR OF ADORATION 5:00 AM For all of us to sit at the School of the Immaculate and Maternal Heart of Mary to learn to contemplate, to gaze at the Eucharistic Heart of Her Son. That Our Lady s Heart, School of the Gospel and path of Holiness, may freely teach us to be men and women of the Eucharist in all of our lives. That we may grow in holiness, wisdom, maturity and apostolic ardor at the School of Her Heart. Scripture Passage: Lk 2, 19 " And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart" Apostolic Letter of John Paul II Rosarium Virginis Mariae 1. With the Rosary, the Christian people sits at the school of Mary and is led to contemplate the beauty on the face of Christ and to experience the depths of

his love. Through the Rosary the faithful receive abundant grace, as though from the very hands of the Mother of the Redeemer. 10. The contemplation of Christ has an incomparable model in Mary. No one has ever devoted himself to the contemplation of the face of Christ as faithfully as Mary. 11. Mary lived with her eyes fixed on Christ, treasuring his every word: She kept all these things, pondering them in her heart (Lk 2:19; cf. 2:51). The memories of Jesus, impressed upon her heart, were always with her, leading her to reflect on the various moments of her life at her Son's side. In a way those memories were to be the rosary which she recited uninterruptedly throughout her earthly life. Even now, amid the joyful songs of the heavenly Jerusalem, the reasons for her thanksgiving and praise remain unchanged. They inspire her maternal concern for the pilgrim Church, in which she continues to relate her personal account of the Gospel. Mary constantly sets before the faithful the mysteries of her Son, with the desire that the contemplation of those mysteries will release all their saving power. In the recitation of the Rosary, the Christian community enters into contact with the memories and the contemplative gaze of Mary.
