Our Vision is Love. Serving with Love is our pathway towards a sustainable future. The Love we envision each day is a pure and unconditional love for God, Jesus and each other. Our Mission is to Serve. Our goal is to work together with vision. It is to have faith in God and each other. Our goal is to trust in God and each other in order to move forward towards a fulfilling life and future together. Over the next 12 months we will explore and practice through our 7 Ministries our vision and mission to Serve with Love. This brochure is a structural overview of how we can serve together with a common Vision and Mission. As you review each ministry in this brochure, think about which ministry you would like to serve in. Ask yourself, What ministry inspires me to Serve with Love? 3

Coffee Hour, Pasta Night, Soup & Bun, Special Event Meals Food Services General Purpose Serve the community through providing food, comfort, social interaction and friendship Food Services Future Direction Coffee hour will continue developing new working groups and schedule based on interest and availability Ongoing planning meetings with Pasta facilitators, UCW and others will explore ways to sustain an effective food service ministry Food Services Notes Some special meals (eg. Pancake Supper) are organized by other groups or bubbles on an ad hoc basis, and some are done by UCW (eg. Everyone s support is During our recent 2.5 years of Interim Ministry, our congregation undertook tremendous effort towards recognizing and accepting the need for change. Upon conclusion of Interim Ministry, the Powell River United Church congregation made the decision to commit to a 3 year window of hiring a full-time Minister. Everyone is valued, everyone has a voice, everyone is heard, everyone is respected, and everyone is Served with Love. Additionally, the congregation voted to embrace a new Governance Model and elected members for a new Navigational Team. After 6 months of having welcomed our new minister Reverend Mary White, and the Navigational Team having overcome their learning curve, we are ready to begin exploring our future together as a congregation. valued. There are two upcoming events and opportunities to dive deeper into our new direction towards a sustainable future. Serve With Love Together Event February 18th after Sunday Worship Join us in Trinity Hall during coffee hour for an open house. We want to receive your feedback about our new direction, and to know which of our ministries you would like to serve in. 7 Ministries Congregational Gathering Event March 11th after Worship at 11:15am During this gathering there will be group work and discussions for each of our 7 ministries.
