Scott Ferguson Pianist/Organist Welcome Thank you for being here for worship this Sunday! Our mission at First Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We are inspired by the words of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, who encouraged believers to do all the good you can, in all the ways you can. Our Church office is open Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM & Friday 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM Summer Hours: (June 4th - August 17th) Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM Friday - Closed 901 N. Wednesday Night Programming Returns Make plans to join us for our 2018 fall Wednesday night programing beginning September 5th! Our children s choir and hand bells will begin at 3:15pm in the Children s Ministry classrooms in the Wesley building. Children s chapel small group will be located in the chapel beginning at 4:30pm. All children ages 5 years old and older are encouraged to attend. Adult small group opportunities will be 5:30-6:30pm offered in Wesley Room 103 & 104. Adult small groups will begin September 5th and conclude on October 24th. The two studies to choose from are: ENCOUNTER JESUS by Carolyn Moore You will learn to walk daily with Him, side by side, through all your circumstances big and small just as the disciples did. You will discover practical, proven ways of encountering Him today, as you come to understand how enduring He is. You will delight in the red letters the very words of Christ in Scripture and develop faith and trust in His perfect ways as you see Him work Himself into every situation of your life. GRACE: MORE THAN WE DESERVE, GREATER THAN WE IMAGINE by Max Lucado Lucado s bestselling book reminds readers that there s more to grace than we ve ever imagined. In this cornerstone message of Lucado s ministry, he challenges readers to not only receive grace but also to be changed by grace. Shaped by grace. Strengthened by grace. Emboldened by grace. Softened by grace. Snatched by the nape of their neck and shaken to their senses by grace.
