Is there a supernatural dimension, a world beyond the one we know? Is there life after death? Do angels exist? Can our dreams contain messages from Heaven? Can we tap into ancient secrets of the supernatural? Are healing miracles real? Sid Roth has spent over 35 years researching the strange world of the supernatural. Join Sid for this edition of It s Supernatural. SID: Hello. I'm Sid Roth. Welcome to my world where it s natural supernatural. I was thinking about Samuel being in the presence of God 24/7. No wonder that not one of his words fell to the ground without it happening. I'm thinking about Solomon's temple. Do you know that the presence of God was so real, it was tangible that the Jewish priests wouldn t even stand. They were flattened. What if there is a modern day psalmist who has learned how to worship God, that has been under the New Covenant of glory for 10 years, 24/7. Could you imagine what would happen when this man worships. You won't have to imagine long. We're about ready to meet him. Hello Sid Roth here. I have Dustin Smith here. And Dustin went into a little city in Missouri, Smithton, Missouri. You were forced to do it. You didn't want to. Comes from four generations of pastors, very religious. He goes in. He sees God operating on people. Did you think it was God? DUSTIN: No, I didn't. My discerning spirit kicked in and I thought this is the work of the devil. SID: And then the woman that became his mother-in-law pushes him forward for prayer. I can just picture this. And what happened? DUSTIN: Well you shouldn't have put the devil and my mother-in-the same phrase. Right after, that's not the way it was. But I walked into Smithton Community Church. Actually, I went with my girlfriend. She wanted me to check out this revival. And when I got there, there lines of people just waiting to get into this little tiny country church built in the 1800s. SID: They had more people in those lines than they had in the whole city. People started coming from all over the world because they heard God was there. But his religious mind says, this can't be God. DUSTIN: No. Well yeah. When I got in, all I know of a revival is it's a three-day meeting. You show up and there's three days of meetings and that's a revival, and that's how I grew up. But when I walked into this place really what threw me, I didn't understand at first, everybody was moving together. They were all lifting their hands. They were shouting. They were singing and that was pretty powerful. But the thing that really threw me was when they went for prayer. And when I saw people, people would run up to the front, the pastor stood up and he gave an altar call, people would run to the front, pushing people out of the way to get to the front. People, they're falling down on the ground and they're shaking. Some of them are crying. Some of them are laughing, and I'm like ahh!. I don't know what's going on. Because I'm used to going to church where we're in control. We don't lose control like that. So my very impression actually was this is not right. SID: Okay. They prayed for you. What happened?
DUSTIN: Well it was the third night. The first two nights I actually ran to the side. I wouldn't get prayer. The third night my mother-in-law comes and takes me by the hand, and walks me up. She's not going let me be with her daughter unless I get prayer. So she brings me up. All the guy just standing in front of me, all I could think of was, don't let him look in your eyes. So I was standing there like this, like, what's going on here. And all he does, he begins to speak against religious spirits. And in my mind, I'm thinking, me religious? SID: Four generations of pastors. DUSTIN: Yeah. You guys are the freaks. I'm normal. I'm a normal Christian. And all he did, he just spoke to that. He didn't touch me. All he said was, "God, I just pray for more." And I didn't even know more what. All of a sudden, it felt like a million gallons of water just dumped on me, and I fell face first to the ground. And I'm laying on the ground shaking, and all I could think of, and I cried out loud. I said, "God, if this is so real why am I so afraid?" And I felt God speak to me and say, "Because for 21 years of your life you've been in church, but you've never been in my presence." And I realized at that moment laying on that floor, I'm laying on that floor and I'm realizing I was able to do church all those years and I didn't even care if He showed up. I don't even know that I knew it was even possible that He would show up. And so I had been going through the motions of church and not experiencing the power of God and the presence of God. But I didn't even really care. SID: I want you to go to the music set. I'm going to tell you something. He's going to sing the song I requested. We switched this at the last minute because the presence of God is so awesome. It's "Reign Over Me," R-E-I-G-N. God reigned over me. But I'm going to tell you something that's going to happen. Spirit rain, R-A-I-N, is about ready to reign over you. Dustin [music, singing]: God creation, rule of time, come and move this heart of mine. King of the heavens then in the sea won't you come and be King over me. And reign over me, and reign over me. God of creation, rule of time, come and move this heart of mine. King of the heavens then in the sea won't you come and be king over me. And reign over me. And reign over me. Come and reign over me. Come and reign over me, won't you reign over me. You're all that I want, all that I've needed. You satisfy every longing and need. You're all that I want, all that I've needed, Lord. So reign over me and reign over me. Come and reign now. Come and reign over me. We'll be right back to It's Supernatural. [commercial] We now return to It s Supernatural. SID: You know, when I was listening to Dustin Smith play the piano I couldn't help but think here's a young man that was soaking in the presence of God. And one day his pastor says, I want you to lead worship. He can barely play chopsticks. What? Under the presence of God all things are possible. How many songs had you written before that?
DUSTIN: None. SID: None. Did you get that? Zero. How many have you written now? DUSTIN: Probably a couple hundred. SID: That is what happens when an ordinary person has an extraordinary God and soaks in the presence of God. That's what happens. So your mother developed cancer. DUSTIN: Yes. SID: And she's a worshiper. She was worshiping to your music. So I happen to have right here medical reports, before and after. Briefly, what happened? DUSTIN: Well my mom called me. I was in the middle of a voice lesson, and she said, "I got to talk to you." And I said, I'm in the middle of a voice lesson. And she said, "I need to talk to you now." That means quit the voice lesson. So I went. She said, "I've just gotten diagnosed with stage 34 melanoma and you're the first person I called. You know, I've prayed for thousands of people, seen healings happen through music and worship. But when your own mom calls and says it, you got a gut check. And I remember telling my mom, "You know what?" I said, "We're not going to bow to fear. Fear may come, but fear does not dictate us. And we're going allow the words that we've learned through the songs that we've been singing, the declarations we've been making about who God is as a healer and we're going to stand like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, we'll say, you can throw us in the fire but God can save us. Even if He doesn't we'll never bow." I remember my mom making a decision. She talked about the power of worship, and she's listening. From that moment, she was number one fan to where now the music is a whole different thing. She's not listening to it just because I'm her son. She's listening to it because it's impacting her life. She's listening to the power of the Word and she's letting that faith rise. She goes in. She gets a couple spots removed so they can test it. They got to find out, stage 34, they feel like it could be pretty far down in your body. They don't even know how long she has to live. And within a couple weeks after that, they went in, tested, took out three lymph nodes, checked everything and they came back and said, "You know what, we can't find even a trace of melanoma." SID: That's the God that we serve. That's our God. DUSTIN: That's right. SID: I'm going to tell you something. There's only person that matters. You're worried, you're sweating the small stuff. There's only one person that matters. You are going to, tell me just briefly about the song you wrote, "The One That Really Matters." DUSTIN: I was in a church in Oklahoma and I was just worshiping, and all of sudden the presence of God came in the room, and just like a blanket just laid on the congregation. Everybody is laying on their face. And as I stood at the piano, all I could say was, "You're the one that really matters."
SID: It's true. God is the one that really matters. Let's go to that. DUSTIN [music, singing]: I feel you so close to me. I can hardly move or breathe. I can feel your presence all around. I fall knees down to the ground. You're the one that really matters. You're the one that really matters. You're the one that really matters. You're the one that really matters. And I know that I haven't found cares of life can hold me down. Because you're the one I want to please. What matters is what you think. You're the one really matters. You're the one really matters. You're the one really matters. You're the one really matters. I know that I haven't found cares of life can hold me down. Because you're the one I want to please. What matters now is what you think. You're the one really matters. You're the one really matters. You're the one really matters. You're the one really matters. You're the one really matters. You're the one really matters. You're the one really matters. You're the one really matters. And I feel you so close to me that I can hardly move or breathe. And I can't help but dream about the way that you moved in [unintelligible] so I could live again. And I can't help by dream about the way that you. And I can't help but dream about the way that you moved in [unintelligible] so I could live again. You're the one really matters. You're the one really matters. [commercial] We now return to It s Supernatural. SID: Hello. Sid Roth here with Dustin Smith. And Dustin, here is the question I have for you. That's wonderful. I've been to your congregation, World Revival. I've spoken there. The presence of God is awesome. The worship is awesome. But what happens when you're home alone or with your family? Do you have the same presence of God? Tell me the truth now. DUSTIN: Honestly, what happened to me, even now and going through my life, like when I was touched by the presence of God, it wasn't regular church. It wasn't church any more. It was where now it's like it's my marriage, like my wife. When I walk away from my wife when I'm home and I go, she's at work and I'm in another place, her thought process, she's always on my mind. When I make a decision, I'm thinking about, I wonder, is my wife going to like that I'm buying this or not. But that's the way it is now. It affects my home. It affects my kids. My kids are being raised up in this. SID: Is the glory in your home? DUSTIN: In my home. It affects everything. It's in the atmosphere. SID: Okay. When people take your music and play it in hospitals 24/7, what happens to them? DUSTIN: Well we're finding out that healings are happening. First of all, people are being touched miraculously. But we're also finding hope. We're finding that even though nurses that walk in and the doctors that walk in are commenting on how peaceful the room is, and they're saying it's actually permeating into other rooms, the people next door want to know what's happening in that room.
SID: Tell me about that 13-year-old girl that had night terrors. Some of you have children that have bad dreams, and it really, they're terrified. Tell me about her. DUSTIN: I didn't even know at the time. I prayed for a little girl and she looked just depressed at 13 years old. I'm thinking like, what is wrong. So I'm praying for her. All of a sudden it's almost like you can see depression bow off of her, like it just bows. And all of a sudden her face lights up. She was a different person. So I gave her one of my CDs, and I said, "I just want you to play this at your house. I want you to play it." I know her mom called me about a month later, and her mom said, "You need to know something." She said, "When you prayed for her, you didn't know this. She was having night terrors every night. She would wake up in the middle of the night and she would about 12 men all dressed in black, and they would be over her bed torturing her in the middle of the night, haunting her. Well when she went home, she started playing the music, the worship, and it makes a declaration of who God is over and over. And she found out when she was playing it they stopped. Well one night she didn't turn it on and she woke up, and they were there, and they were agitated. They were very upset. Well she didn't turn on the CD player. She actually started singing the songs, making the declaration. It was burst in her. I know that's not great for selling CDs. But it's getting, those CDs get that message inside of you to where it's no longer just the CD playing. Now the song is burst in you and it's who you are, and now you're declaring who He is. And as soon as she began to do that they stood up as fast as they could and ran out of the room. She realized, I have the authority to speak those same things. SID: And I have the authority to tell you the presence of God is going to be on Yahweh right now. DUSTIN [music, singing]: How great is the Lord our King, Creator of everything. This [unintelligible] darkness has no place to hide. Open up your ancient doors. Make way for the risen Lord. Open up your ancient gates. Prepare the way of the King of Glory, strong and mighty, Yahweh, whoa, Yahweh. King of Glory, strong and mighty, Yahweh, oh Yahweh. King of Christ and King of Saul. But our God stands above them all. He fought the power of death and won. His rule and reign can't be undone. Open up your ancient doors. Make way for the risen Lord. Open up your ancient gates. Prepare the way for the King of Glory, strong and mighty, Yahweh, Yahweh. King of Glory, strong and mighty, Yahweh, whoa Yahweh. The king above our God endures forever. There is no greater name. Sing it again. The king above our God endures forever. There is no greater name. [commercial] We now return to It s Supernatural. SID: Next week on It s Supernatural. A pastor and his wife, high profile, television ministries. But the wife had an affair, a secret affair. And out of the tragedy they have come up with supernatural keys to not just have a marriage, but have a marriage made in Heaven and God has made supernatural.
