Since Tillet could not care for a child so young, Eugune was adopted by Sudie's sister, Emmie Bordeaux, who was married to Tillet's brother, Bishop. I have seen Sudie's name listed in some places as Sudie Jane. The 1900 census gives her name as Susan J. The 1900 census also contends that Sudie was born in April of 1883. iii.
