Notice to all members of St. Paul s Baptist Church Re: Building Security and Building Maintenance We are all responsible for the care of our church. The safety of our members and the security of our building is a priority item for the trustees. Trustees are responsible for locking doors following service on Sundays. During the week, the building is secured at the end of the work day by security personnel and trustees when they are present for meetings. When church leaders hold meetings, they are responsible for securing the building as well as turning off the lights, and leaving the meeting room in order. Trash should be removed from the meeting rooms and taken to the outside dumpster (especially when there is food trash). It has been brought to our attention that church doors are left open and particularly Fellowship Hall doors are left propped open after service and other events. When doors are left open, this presents safety and health concerns, as well as possible damage and theft in the building. On the weekend, church doors will be locked at 3:00 pm. During the week, doors will be locked immediately following meetings or events at 9:00 pm. If you will be in the building after these times, please contact the following trustees 24 hours in advance: Dennis Baxter, Chair Zaneta Mowatt, Vice Chair Tom Lambert, Treasurer Avis James, Secretary dbchoice@verizon.net ztmowatt@comcast.net thomasdl600@yahoo.com avis.james3@verizon.net Peace and blessings, Trustees of St. Paul s Baptist Church St. Paul s extends sincere sympathy to Deaconess Phyllis Stewart at the loss of her brother, Larry Nolan. A heartfelt thank you to St. Paul s for the prayers, cards and calls at the passing of my stepson and brother, Keith Thomas, respectively Sister Doris McGillan and Sister Janice Berry ST. Sixth Sunday of Easter Psalm 67 Acts 16:9-15 Revelation 21:10, 22-22:5 John 14:23-29 or John 5:1-9 May 5, 2013 Today the first Sunday in May, today Sunday, Communion Sunday. Let us come before our Father and our God humbly, but boldly asking His forgiveness, asking Him to prepare our hearts, souls and minds to take of His Holy sacrament. This is the day that the Lord has made, come, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eats of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 53 Then Jesus said unto them, verily, verily, I say unto you, except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54. Whoso eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life; I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:51, 53-54 Dear St. Paulians and Friends, 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine eyes; fear the Lord, and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel and marrow to thy bones. 9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase. 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wines. 11 My son despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction 12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delightenth. 13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. Proverbs 3: 6-13 Weeping may come for a night buy joy comes in the morning. Trust and never doubt. Jesus will surly bring you out. Jesus has never failed us yet. When trouble comes your way and you don t know what to do or say, just look up to heaven and call on that sweet name Jesus! Jesus! Jesus is the answer in this world today, tomorrow and forevermore. Dear Jesus you have proven over and over that you are the answer in this world today, tomorrow and forevermore. I can truly say dear Father, your way is the best way. I pray dear Father that you will, please continue to lead on King Jesus, lead on King Emmanuel in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen Amen Amen Members from the Prayer Ministries will be available Sunday mornings after worship service in the Prayer Chapel for anyone who desires prayer for self or others.
