Incident Success Stories SIGNAL RETIMING SUCCESS STORY During the month of January, the ICM Traffic Signal Timing Engineer monitored US 17-92 through Seminole County and made note of increased traffic and incidents in the area. He created numerous flush plans which enabled a higher volume of vehicles to travel incident-free via US 17-92 through Seminole County, thus improving safety and travel efficiency. In addition to the success that was made with US 17-92, there was coordination with Seminole County concerning signal timing adjustments from SR 414 to East Lake Brantley. By making these new patterns more efficient, the complaints dissipated and traffic stopped spilling over into Orange County as it previously had.
