In Christ There Is No East Or West Scripture...Mark 12:28-34 The Greatest Commandment One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, Of all the commandments, which is the most important? The most important one, answered Jesus, is this: Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. Well said, teacher, the man replied. You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices. When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, You are not far from the kingdom of God. And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions. In Christ there is no East or West, In Him no South or North; But one great fellowship of love Throughout the whole wide earth. In Him shall true hearts everywhere Their high communion find; His service is the golden cord Close binding all mankind. Join hands then, brothers of the faith, Whate'er your race may be; Who serves my Father as a Son Is surely kin to me. In Christ now meet both East and West; In Him meet South and North. All Christly souls are one in Him Throughout the whole wide earth. Wonderful Words Of Life The Savior Is Waiting Sing them over again to me, Wonderful words of life; Let me more of their beauty see, Words of life and beauty, Teach me faith and duty. Chorus Beautiful words, wonderful words, Beautiful words, wonderful words, Christ, the blessed One, gives to all Wonderful words of life; Sinner, list to the loving call, All so freely given, Wooing us to Heaven Sweetly echo the gospel call, Wonderful words of life; Offer pardon and peace to all, Jesus, only Savior, Sanctify us forever. Chorus Time after time He has waited before, And now He is waiting again To see if you're willing To open the door O how He wants to come in. The Savior is waiting To enter your heart Why don't you let Him come in? There's nothing in this world To keep you apart What is your answer to Him? If you'll take one step Toward the Savior, my friend, You'll find His arms open wide. Receive Him and all Of your darkness will end; Within your heart He'll abide.
