I arrived armed with my picnic blanket fully intending to sit, read the scriptures, reflect and pray, but I found myself unable to settle on a good spot to stop. So I kept on walking. As I walked I decided to pray. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner. I repeated the prayer in whole. I also prayed through each part of the prayer. Lord Acknowledging his royal position I submitted to God s authority over me. Jesus Christ I recalled the power in the name of Jesus and couldn t help but sing a few or our songs about His name. So I continued to walk and pray. And when I got to me a sinner I confessed. I reviewed my last few days. Acknowledged weaknesses. Attitudes. Actions. Ungodly desires. By the time I had finished walking through the prayer it was easy to find a spot on the grass, lay out my blanket and read the scriptures and reflect. Why don t you try prayer walking? I found it very refreshing and restoring. It s good for your health spiritually and physically. Dean PS. Saturday 29th November 7pm everyone involved in The Salvation Army s Creative Arts will have an opportunity to share their art form at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre s Great Hall. This special event brings together worship teams, brass bands, timbrels, songsters, drama and combined items as A Celebration of Praise This two hour extravaganza is an opportunity to invite friends and family, and also to encourage each other as a united Army. The NANO concert is on Monday at 1pm at Camp Mudjimba, 171 Nojoor Rd, Twin Waters. G20: 15-16 November On Sunday 16 th November our corps will escape the G20 Summit and head to Morton Bay, joining Wynnum Corps for worship and fellowship. Plan to come and be a part of a great day as we celebrate Jesus and then enjoy lunch together. Wynnum Corps is exploring opportunities for us to party in the park as an outreach activity and we intend on offering transport to assist anyone who needs it. This is a great chance for us to enjoy each others company and be a blessing to another corps. More information to come. Plan on being there!
