THE MATCH CARD GAME Upper-Elementary, Ages 11-12 Some people do not Believe the Christian story about Jesus, but it is Real. 1 John 5:20 The Cost of Sin is Death. According to Hebrews 9:22, Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin. Romans 6:23 God is Good, but not Safe. He is not a Tame God. Psalm 111:10 Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 5:20 The Devil Tempts people to do Evil with things that: a) Look Good b) Taste Good c) Promise Power. James 1:14, 15 The Promise in the Bible that tells us why Jesus came says, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not die but have everlasting life. John 3:16 People who sin are Sad because the Evil Promises of the Devil are a lie. Proverbs 14:12 People, who are under the evil spell of the Devil, are Hopeless because they need Jesus. They are like Statues who only look alive, but who are Really Dead! Ephesians 2:1 Jesus Gave His Life to pay the price for mankind s sins. Jesus Sacrifice set all who believe in Him Free! Acts 2:38 Jesus gives New Life to all those who believe in Him. They join the Church, which is God s Good Army to fight against Evil in the world. 2 Corinthians 5:17 The Followers of God are given The Armor of God to fight the Devil. Sword of the Spirit, Belt of Truth, Helmet of Salvation, Gospel Shoes, Breastplate of Right Living, and Shield of Faith. Ephesians 6:13 Jesus Destroys the Devil and Evil Is Ended in the real world. The Cost of Sin is Death according to the Deep Magic, that the White Witch quoted when she said, every traitor belongs to me as my lawful prey, and for every treachery, I have the right to a kill. Aslan is Good, but not Safe. He is not a Tame lion. Aslan is the Son of the Emperorbeyond-the-Sea. The White Witch Tempted Edmund to do Evil with Turkish Delight because it: a) Looked Good b) Tasted Good c) Promised power as King The Promise, of the Deeper Magic in Narnia says, When a willing victim who had committed no treachery is killed in a traitor s stead, the Table would crack and death itself would start working backwards. Edmund was Sad because the Evil Promises of the White Witch were a lie. Creatures, who are under the evil spell of the White Witch, are Hopeless because it is always winter and never Christmas. They are Statues who look alive but are Really Dead! Aslan Gave His Life to pay the price for Edmund s crime. Aslan s Sacrifice set Edmund Free! When the Stone Table breaks, Aslan comes Alive Again. I will only care about my own needs, not the needs of others. I will think thoughts that please God. If someone makes me mad, I ll get mad right back at them. I will try to get others to clean up my mess instead of me. I will never tell a lie, no matter what. I will be careful, with God s help, to control my anger. I will pray for God s help with my school and family every day. If I do something wrong, I ll try to get away with it. I will be honest about the things I do wrong, and ask forgiveness.
