We will eat dinner together at 6:30 pm and at 7:45 pm we will board our bus for a night visit to ancient Yafo. We will arrive back to the Hotel at approximately 10:30 pm. Here we will study about the end times and why this location will hold such an important role in the Last Days. Then we will travel further north to Beit Shaarim where we will learn about the Sanhedrin and grow in our understanding Biblical backgrounds for the New Covenant. We will then move on to the ancient Beit Midrash Meron. This location will provide an excellent example of a Galilean synagogue. We will sit in the ruins of the study house (Beit Midrash) and discuss Yeshua teaching in the synagogues of the Galilee. We will also visit some burial sites from 2,000 years ago and hear stories of some of the major sages. This will also assist in one s understanding of the New Covenant. We will arrive at our Galilean hotel in the ancient city of Tzfat, Ruth Rimonim. This will be our base for the next three nights. After dinner we will explore the Old City together. Then we will press further north to the northern border of Israel at Tel Dan. Here we will learn of the tribe of Dan s disobedience and study the spiritual condition of the Northern Kingdom during the first Temple period. We will then travel to the Golan Heights and visit Caesarea Philippi where the disciples confessed that Yeshua is the Messiah. We will learn why this event occurred at this location. Then we will move further up on the Golan Heights and visit Bental. This is a key military site. We will learn about Paul s Damascus Road experience and have a special guest lecturer to give us an update on security issues (both past and present). We will conclude the day at Gamla. Here we will reflect on Israel s entrance into the Land and other relevant information concerning the Golan Heights. We will also visit an ancient synagogue. ISRAEL STUDY TOUR APRIL 29-MAY 8, 2019 Day 4: Thursday May 2, Depart at 8:00 am for Kfar Nachum (Capernaum). This site was the location for Yeshua s ministry headquarters. We will thoroughly explore the ruins of this ancient village. We will discuss some of the important events that occurred there and further our understanding of Yeshua s teachings and deeds. Next stop will be Beit Tzaida. This is one of the three cities which Yeshua cursed for their unbelief. We will study two key miracles related to this city. We will then take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and learn of some of the significant events that took place near or even on this lake.we will conclude the afternoon with a visit to Mount Arbel.Overnight: Tzfat: (B & D) Day 5: Friday May 3, Depart 8:00 am for Beit Shean. At this location we will study King Saul and learn about the Roman occupation of Israel in the latter Second Temple period. This is an impressive archeological site. We will then travel down the Jordan River valley in the general place that John would have been baptizing. You will have an opportunity to immerse. If you are going to immerse, please make sure you are wearing modest attire. Dark colors, shorts and top, with a swimming suit underneath. This is not the place where most groups visit. This is actually located in a military area. It is an authentic location in the Kikar HaYardin. We will study much there concerning the history of immersion both from a traditional viewpoint (Judaism) and from the perspective of the New Covenant. We then will proceed by Jericho and begin our ascent to the Holy City of Jerusalem. On our way to Jerusalem we will find an appropriate place to stop and learn about Jericho and Yeshua s temptation in the Desert of Judah. Then it is on to Jerusalem! We are staying in a wonderful, remote resort in Jerusalem to emphasize our Shabbat experience. We will welcome Shabbat together and then enjoy a traditional Shabbat dinner. You have a free afternoon to relax and enjoy the hotel amenities. Find your own little place to relax either inside your outside.then we will gather before dinner (time will be announced) for our concluding Shabbat worship service. ISRAEL STUDY TOUR APRIL 29-MAY 8, 2019 Day 7: Sunday May 5, Depart from hotel heading to the Old City. We will have a full day in Jerusalem visiting the House of Caiphas, where Yeshua was tried by the Sanhedrin. We will then go to the City of David to walk through Hezekiah s Tunnel (wet or dry tunnel- bring a flashlight!) and study about the Pool where the blind man was healed in John chapter 9. We will then go to the Western Wall and tour the Western Wall tunnel. After lunch, in the Old City we will see the place where Yeshua was condemned by Pontius Pilate and flogged (Church of the Flagellation). We will see some of the walls from the time of Nehemiah and learn about the return from Babylon and this significant period of renewal of Jerusalem. You will have time in the Cardo and Jewish Quarter for shopping. Overnight: Jerusalem: Yehuda (B & D) 5
ISRAEL STUDY TOUR APRIL 29-MAY 8, 2019 Day 8: Monday May 6, Depart 8:00 am for the Dead Sea. We will visit Ein Gedi and study about the book of Song of Songs and King David hiding out from Saul at this location. We plan to give some time to float in the Dead Sea before moving on to Masada and learn about Israel s history during the Roman period. We will depart Masada on way to Beer Sheva. We will visit Tel Sheva and learn about the Patriarchs. Return to Jerusalem. Overnight: Jerusalem: Yehuda (B & D) Day 9: Tuesday May 7, We will start the day at the Holocaust Memorial Yad V Shem. We will not only learn about the Holocaust, but discuss the connection between the Holocaust and the End Times. After Yad V Shem, we will go to the Mount of Olives and have a study there. Then it is to the Garden Gat-Shemnei where Yeshua prayed and was arrested. Finally we will end our afternoon at the Garden Tomb, to study about the death, burial and Resurrection of Yeshua. We will have a Farewell meeting at our hotel after dinner. Overnight: Jerusalem: Yehuda (B & D) Day 10: Wednesday May 8.
