WELCOME MESSAGE ALL ROUND VICTORY THROUGH THE CROSS John 16:33; 1 Corinthians 15:57; 1 John 5:4,5. It is with great joy that I welcome you to this 2015 Easter Retreat. We are grateful to God because retreat time is always a period of showers of blessings, abundant mercies, signs and wonders. The theme of this year s Easter Retreat is, The Power Of His Cross. Easter reminds us of the suffering, death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection. This is the greatest sacrifice of love that gives power to all who believe, to receive forgiveness of sin; become completely free and overcome sin, Satan, sickness, evil spirits and sadists of this world. Jesus was crucified on the cross at Calvary. He endured the suffering and died. He rose again on the third day. Thus, He finished the work of our salvation, deliverance and dominion over all the works of the enemy (Satan). Jesus death on the cross at Calvary provides abundant and uncommon blessings for all who believe in Him. The Saviour of the world has made available wonderful and great blessings through His sacrifice on the cross. Some of the great and wonderful blessings of the Saviour s death on the cross include: (i) forgiveness and cleansing from sin (Hebrews 9:14; I John 1:7); (ii) reconciliation with God and peace for our troubled hearts (Matthew 11:28; Colossians 1:20); (iii) healing for every sickness (I Peter 2:24); (iv) conquering and overcoming with Christ (Romans 8:37, 38). You must not be left out of these blessings. 1
Expect the best from God at this retreat. God wants to transform your life and make you beautiful and glorious. During this retreat, among other things, we shall consider anointed messages such as: Complete Salvation Through His Blood, Bearing The Cross To Win The Crown, The Child That Overcomes, Go Ye, Dead To Self And Alive Unto Christ, and The Narrow Way. Focus on God and on your goal to be mightily blessed at this retreat. Do not allow anything or anybody to distract or hinder you from receiving your blessings. Listen quietly to all the sermons and take notes during the teachings. Take part in all the retreat activities; pray always and don t play about. Stay in the children Camp and obey all the camp rules and instructions of your teachers. As you do all these, great will be your blessings in Jesus Name. Rise up and pray! LOWER AND LOWER 1. Lower and lower, dear Lord, at Thy feet, Seeking Thy Spirit, Thy mercy so sweet; Down in our need, blessed Master, we fall, Lower and lower; be Thou all in all. Lower and lower, down at Thy cross, All the world s treasure counting but dross; Down at Thy feet, blessed Saviour we fall, Lower, still lower, Christ all in all. 2. Lower and lower, dear Saviour, we pray, Losing the self-life still more ev ry day; Weak and unworthy, we re looking above, Empty us, Jesus; Then fill us with love. 3. Lower and lower; yet higher we rise, Lifted in Jesus, led on to the skies; Humbly we follow the way of the cross, Then, crowns of glory, and gain for all loss. OH, THE BITTER SHAME AND SORROW 1. Oh, the bitter shame and sorrow, That a time could ever be, When I let the Saviour s pity Plead in vain, and proudly answered, All of self, and none of Thee! 2. Yet He found me; I beheld Him Bleeding on the accursed tree, Heard Him pray, Forgive them, Father! And my wistful heart said faintly Some of self, and some of Thee. 3. Day by day His tender mercy, Healing, helping, full, and free, Sweet and strong, and, ah! so patient, Brought me lower, while I whispered, Less of self, and more of Thee. 4. Higher than the highest heavens, Deeper than the deepest sea, Lord, Thy love at last has conquered; Grant me now my supplication - None of self, and all of Thee. 4
MY PORTION FOREVER 1. All, all to Jesus, I consecrate anew: Only His glory henceforth will I pursue: He is my portion forever Take, take the world, with all its gilded toys, Take, take the world, I covet not its joys, Mine is a wealth no moth nor rust destroys: Jesus my portion for ever. 2. All, all to Jesus, my trusting heart can say: He is my portion for ever. Led by His mercy, I m walking ev ry day: 3. Though He may try me, this blessed truth I know: He will not leave me, His promise tells me so: 4. All, all to Jesus, I cheerfully resign: I have the witness that He, my Lord, is mine: 5
SIN CAN NEVER ENTER THERE 1. Heaven is a holy place, Filled with glory and with grace, Sin can never enter there; All within its gates are pure, From defilement kept secure, Sin can never enter there. Sin can never enter there, Sin can never enter there; So, if at the judgment bar, Sinful spots your soul shall mar, You can never enter there. 2. If you hope to dwell at last, When your life on earth is past, In that home so bright and fair, You must here be cleansed from sin, Have the life of Christ within, Sin can never enter there. 3. You may live in sin below, Heaven s grace refuse to know, But you cannot enter there; It will stop you at the door, Bar you out forevermore. Sin can never enter there. 4. If you cling to sin till death, When you draw your latest breath, You will sink in dark despair, To the regions of the lost, Thus to prove at awful cost, Sin can never enter there. 6
MUST I GO AND EMPTY-HANDED? 1. Must I go, and empty-handed, Thus my dear Redeemer meet? Not one day of service give Him, Lay no trophy at His feet? Must I go, and empty-handed? Must I meet my Saviour so? Not one soul with which to greet Him: Must I empty-handed go? 2. Not at death I shrink nor falter, For my Saviour saves me now; But to meet Him empty-handed, Thought of that now clouds my brow. 3. O the years in sinning wasted, Could I but recall them now, I would give them to my Saviour, To His will I d gladly bow. 4. O ye saints, arouse, be earnest, Up and work while yet tis day; Ere the night of death o er take thee, Strive for souls while still you may. 7
