The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith APOSTOLIC NEWSLETTER www.thechurch-apostolicfaith.org Volume 2, Issue 4 October 2011 What does being on one accord mean to you? A s according to the scripture in the second chapter of the book of Acts, we have the example of how the saints of God bonded together on one accord. We today are striving to continue this example by following in the same footsteps as those of the early saints. Oneness and unity in the spirit of the Lord brings strength, growth and inspiration to the body of Christ. The saints were filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost after coming together on one accord in the upper room. Afterwards, the church grew daily as they continued together on one accord. Paul stated in Philippians 2:1-2 "If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind." It is imperative that we keep this same concept as we continue in this way. This subject is the theme of this quarter's newsletter. The following pages have been devoted to this matter for the encouragement of the saints and to any who will read. In so doing, we hope to embolden our love of Christ and uplift our brothers and sisters. Read as the saints express what is in their own hearts as they sound off on this topic. 47th Annual Apostolic Fellowship During the week of August 8-14, 2011 all of the saints from far and near joined together to worship the Lord in spirit and truth. We lifted up our voices in praises and testimonies to the glory of the Lord. Every service was a delight and inspiration to everyone that was in attendance. The saints of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith are yet pressing on. We thank the Lord also for Bishop Bush and the word of truth that was preached during this fellowship. We feasted and were glad for the unity among us. We eagerly look forward to next year to experience more of the same. Brother Turner of Dallas, Texas writes:. I thank God for the word of God that He brought out of heaven to let us know how we must conduct ourselves, how to believe and to be saved in these last and evil days. It doesn't matter what you believe or what you think about how things should be. The scripture lets us know how to believe. In John 7:38 " He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said,.." And the scriptures let us know that we all should be on one accord. In 1 Corinthians 1 :10. ".. that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." This lets me know that is Continued on page 3 Inside this issue: Words from the Pastor 2 One Accord Theme 3-8 Events Pictures 9 Announcements 10

Apostolic Newsletter 2 Words from the Pastor Search the Scriptures By Bishop V. Bush the apostles preached and decide to follow something else different, then the apostle called you a fool. Greetings everyone, we greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We invite everyone regardless of your national origin or religious beliefs to come and visit us at The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. Bring your bible, notepad and pen and check up on the gospel we are preaching by what is recorded in the holy and divine scriptures. If you honestly and sincerely do this you will discover that we are 100 percent in harmony with that that has already been declared by the Lord Jesus Christ and the apostles and prophets. When you do not believe in what the Lord has set up, then you are not in tune with the Lord. Check the scripture out and it will let you know when you are getting it right and when you are not getting it right. If you have any kind of idea or any kind of opinion about the Lord, make sure that you get that idea from the scripture. Make sure it just isn't something that somebody thought of. Make sure that it is not just because you got a religious conviction and decided, "I am certainly going to live for the Lord and I believe this or I believe that." Jesus Christ said, "He that believeth on me as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." Search the scriptures. This is what will give you the assurance that you are believing in the Lord the right way. If you belong to an organization that a man set up, you ought to ask him, "What scripture is it that caused you to set this kind of movement up?" And when he search for scripture, he will not find any because you are not going to find one scripture anywhere where the Lord told a man to build a church. He has done all the building. Remember the scripture states in John 5:39: "Search the scripture; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." That's the reason why when we come on the radio I tell you to get your bible, your notepad and pen and examine what we say according to the scripture. And if you sincerely do that you will find that in everything we tell you, we have some scripture supporting it. We tell everyone that you have to repent and get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and be filled with the Holy Ghost and continue steadfastly in the teachings of the apostles, otherwise your belief is in vain. Now I can back that up with scripture. If you have an idea or an opinion different than what the apostles had, then your belief is in vain. Where ever you get the revelation from, even if you say you got it out of heaven and an angel brought it to you, then I have bible that that is a curse. I heard Paul talking in Galatians 1:6 "I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that have called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another.." Now the Galatians decided to follow something else other than what the apostles preached and Paul called them fools. When you hear what So Paul said in Galatians 1:6, "I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another, but there be some that trouble you.." That is all they are doing is making trouble and confusing your mind. "... and would pervert the gospel of Christ." If they have the authority and the power, they would change what the apostles preached. So when you built your church and got thousands following you, hasn't a thing changed. Now remember Jesus Christ said "Search the scriptures" Whatever you believe today, see if the scripture has anything to say about it. May God bless you and may God help you.

Apostolic Newsletter 3... Brother Turner Continued from page 1 being on one accord. When the spirit speaks, that's when we speak because we are one. The scripture said in Mark 1:15 " And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." We believe all that is written and all that is preached, not being waveringly minded. We don't think on it nor sleep on it nor guess on it, but believing and knowing that this is the church that God has established in the earth. The spirit is operating in the church. In Matthew 16:18 it states, "... and upon this rock I will build my church.." The same gospel that is being preached in our hearing. is the same gospel that was preached in the days of the apostles. We love one another, pray one for another, believe in one another and we act on it. When we speak we all say the same thing according to the scriptures because we believe. Peace be. Brother Turner Brother Maxie of Lufkin, Texas writes: Praise the Lord saints of the most high God! I greet everyone in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I want to thank my God for sending to Lufkin TX Bishop V. Bush whom God raised up in these perilous times. Let me tell you what being on one accord means to Brother Maxie. The word of God tell us to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. Jude 1:3 We that are working with the church 100% must continue steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread and, in prayers. And all that believe must work together, and keep all things common as according to Acts 2. The apostles were our ensamples. We must speak the same thing and no divisions can be among us; but that we be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 1 Corinthian 1:10 In Hebrews 6:1 it states "Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection.." And in Hebrews 2:1 " Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard lest at any time we should let them slip." In 2 Peter 2:2 "But many shall follow their pernicious ways.." and will speak evil of the truth. So if you hear something that came from the church and you do not understand, just consider it and the Lord will give thee understanding in all things. So stay strong saints and endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all Amen. Mother Gertie Anderson of Dallas, Texas writes: To me being on one accord is great. If you and I are in The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith and we believe and love the Lord, then we should be on one accord. Being on one accord is being in harmony with each other. Bishop preached to follow peace with all men and it will keep help you to be on one accord and in harmony. means a lot. It shows love and peace and joy and happiness in the Lord. Peace be unto you.

Apostolic Newsletter 4... Continued from page 3 Sister Cathy Hunt of Lufkin, Texas writes: Holy Greetings saints in the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ and double honor to Bishop Bush. to me means to be united in the love of God. I am so thankful and grateful to be on one accord with The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. As a faithful saint of God I will continue steadfastly in the apostles doctrine, and keep myself in fellowship and in the assembly with the saints as the Holy Ghost leads me to do. I believe in the one spirit of God that dwells all in all in the household of faith. It is a blessing that the church must have all things in common with one heart and one soul and that there be no divisions among us, but that we must speak the same thing and be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. The early church on the day of Pentecost has already set this example for me. Now I can be a witness by letting my light shine because whatsoever is true is all in you Lord. Peace be unto you all with love Sis. Cathy. Sister Norma Carter of Dallas, Texas writes: What does being on one accord mean to me? I believe that when you're on one accord you have the same mind and spirit and you strive to stay in unity with the body of Christ. We must put aside everything that will hinder us from bearing the fruits of the Spirit because when we walk in the Spirit that unifies us with the saints. And when we take on the mind of Christ, then we have all we need to stay on one accord with our brothers and sisters. Peace be unto you all. Sister Norma J. Carter Sister Angela Robertson of Lufkin, Texas writes: What does being on one accord mean to me? First I want to give all the glory and honor and praises to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I give double honor to the man of God, Bishop V. Bush, for preaching the truth and nothing but the truth. means obedience. It means to obey them that have the rule over you and to obey God's word. It means to believe the same thing, be all of the same mind, staying true to what we believe and to let the spirit lead us and guide us in everything. All that believed were together. Being on one accord means to walk right, to talk right, to pray together, rejoice together and fast and tarry. It means to let our light shine and to be different from the world. The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith is the only true church that God has and I thank God for being in the truth. Peace be.

Apostolic Newsletter 5... Continued from page 4 Sister Effie Anderson of Dallas, Texas writes: Exodus 24:3 "And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the Lord hath said will we do." Praise the Lord everyone. First, I would like to give honor unto our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I also give honor to the man of God, Bishop V. Bush who is continually expounding the words of truth moreover concerning the things that we must do and obey to be ready for the coming of Christ. One Accord - Is characterized by unity. Having a singleness of mind. One solution to a problem, sameness of identity; fashioned in a single piece. We the saints are taught to stay connected to one another in prayer, and coming together and encouraging one another. Submitting our lives to Christ, and surrendering our disagreements too. For we know that disagreements cannot last long when we the saints practice yielding to one another. Being consistent saints involve our living in harmony with one another in the fear of God. Although we may live in different cities and states, we the saints still make every effort to maintain the oneness of the church which is one body in Christ. Amen. Keep me in your prayers. Sister Effie Anderson Sister Eva Robertson of Lufkin, Texas writes: What do being on one accord mean? means believing in the word of God. It means keeping all of God's commandments, being obedient, continuing in God's word and obeying them that have the rule over you. It also means, being all of the same mind, doing what is the will of God and putting on the whole armour of God. God's way is the best way. Being on one accord means being committed, staying faithful, trusting and being strong. There is no other way but the right way and I love God's way. Peace be. Sister Dellene Jackson of Dallas, Texas writes: Praise the Lord saints. I thank God for Bishop Bush. today means so much to me. It means fellowshipping together. It means praying and believing the same things and then God will be there to make us one. Peace be

Apostolic Newsletter 6... Continued from page 5 Sister Yolanda L. Porter of Lufkin, Texas writes: Praise the Lord saints. One accord means to be of one mind and to be of the same judgment, to love one another the same and to treat one another the same. It means coming together as one and letting our voices be as one together. Also, it means to believe in the same gospel and to go by the church's rules. Being on accord with the church and with the saints of God is to work together, pray together and to communicate together with one another as the Lord commanded us to do. This is what is being preached in The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. Peace be. Sister Barbara Hurts of Lufkin, Texas writes: Praise the Lord saints. means that you do everything that you know is right such as continuing in his word, fellowshipping and breaking bread and prayer. It means doing everything that the Lord will have you to do like living in the spirit and not in the flesh. Also, it means that all of the saints are abiding by the same rule in Jesus' name. Peace be. Sister Barbara Sister Scholanda Murphy of Lufkin, Texas writes: One accord mean to me to be of the same mind of God. It means coming together in the sanctuary of God and believing in the same gospel of God. God is perfect and upright and He wants us to be perfect and upright in His sight. God wants us to walk, talk, love, pray and communicate the same way. Being on one accord means to come together and talk things through. It means lending a helping hand when someone is down and to feel each other's pain, it means being of the same judgment, bearing the same fruit of God and growing in grace the same. For us to be on one accord we have to be on one accord with God. That is what being on one accord means to me. God bless us all.

I love you all very much. Sister Brenda Sister Katryce Bush of Dallas, Texas writes: Praise the Lord and greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I give honor to Bishop Bush and to the household of faith. To be on one accord means to be united in the spirit of holiness possessing the same purpose, mind and reasoning. When the saints are on one accord it administers peace, pureness of fellowship and grace to all. I get so much joy and happiness when I see the unity and the togetherness of the saints for I know that this is how the saints of old also were. provides support and encouragement. I also believe it is a necessary ingredient in being able to accomplish the will of the Lord. Furthermore, when all of the saints are on one accord it is fortification for the church of God and is a defense against the wiles of the devil. When we stand united and in unison with the spirit of God, we are then an example to the world as to how true people of God are to be. My prayer is for the continuation of unity with all of the saints so that God's purpose will continue to be fulfilled in all of our lives. Peace be unto you.
