They usually contain activities based on the Scriptures used in worship today. If you are a guest you may wish to accompany your child to their Church School class, following Children s Time. As part of our Leading with Care policy, parents are asked to pick up their children from their classes at the end of the Service. The Nursery: Downstairs off the main hallway. Our Summer church School Programme Children ages 3 and older are invited to take part in a One Room Church School for the Summer months. We will meet in the classroom off of the Church Hall. We are a Leading with Care community. Page 4
Outback Camping: September 1, 2 & 3 This years camping trip will be at Aubrey Lake in Algonquin Park. The price is $75.00. There are no portages just straight canoeing. The group will leave from Whitney as Aubrey Lake is on the Eastern side of Algonquin Park. If interested please speak to Carolyn Clementson or call the church office. Tech Booth: Projector & Sound Volunteers If you would like to join our Tech Team which runs the projectors & sound system at Sunday Worship please speak to Rev. Mathers or call the church office. Training will be provided. Volunteers serve on average once every 6-7 weeks. Students can receive community service hours. loaves & fishes growing project Loaves & Fishes is a local grain growing project to help the Canadian Foodgrains Bank feed the hungry and empower the people in need. Your financial support would be appreciated, but we ask that it not be from normal church support. Thank you! WILDFIRES IN B.C. As wildfires remain active in British Columbia, please pray for affected communities and first responders. Donations may be made to PWS&D in support of physical and emotional recovery for those impacted by the fires. You may donate through St. Andrew s by marking your donation BC Fire. Page 5

Epic Wednesday Worship at 7:30pm August 9 & 16 Theme- Vespers: The Book of Revelation Newmarket Food Pantry The Newmarket Food Pantry is getting low on Kraft Dinner, canned tomatoes and rice. August is their slowest month for donations and if anyone would like to help with some of these items it would be appreciated. Donations can be dropped off at St. Andrew s Food Pantry collection box outside the office. Sunday, September 3 Bring your backpack to Church and we will ask God s blessing as you begin a new school year. Recycle Old Batteries & Cartridges The Virtues have offered to collect used batteries & ink cartridges for recycling. Please place these items in the two brown bins located on the floor underneath the Family Resource Table. FLAT Jesus This summer, you are invited to have fun with a Flat Jesus again, or for the first time. Pick up your copy of Flat Jesus from the Children s Education Resource table. Colour the picture of Jesus and take him with you. Take pictures at home or wherever else you spend time. Send them to the Church and we will create a bulletin board again to remind us that Jesus is always with us. Happy Travels!
