The Council Chambers at the Town Hall was transformed into a television studio as 8 teams went against each other to raise money for their particular causes. While our team lost to Windsor Federal, we were called back to the Championship Round since we raised the most funds. I wish to thank all who supported us raising over $1,300 for our parish school! Messages from Social Action Monthly Food Collection Next weekend is the monthly food collection. For March, the Windsor Food Bank has requested: spaghetti sauce, pasta, baking items, coffee, tea, crackers, and snack items, such as granola bars. Easter Basket Goodies Collection Social Action is sponsoring a collection of Easter Basket items, such as candy, small stuffed animals, books, and small toys to benefit Covenant to Care. The Easter Basket items will be donated through the social workers to the families with children. The collection will take place the weekend of March 17 and 18. If you have any questions on the collection, please contact Valerie Gange, Joan Lynch, or Maureen Fernandes. Troops Do you know a soldier that is deployed to a war zone? If so, we would love to adopt your soldier and send care packages to him/her. Social Action partners with Send Hometown Windsor to the Troops and we are currently looking for more soldiers to adopt! Each soldier receives a monthly care package along with wonderful letters and cards from our Windsor Elementary students. If you know of a soldier, please send his or her contact information to Lisa or Sue at the below contact information.
