June 10, 2018 2 Mission Statement: St. Francis of Assisi Parish is a Christ-centered family of believers, celebrating Christ alive in our lives through the inspiration of the Gospel, church teachings and traditions and the Sacraments. We are sensitive to the spiritual and temporal needs of God s people, acknowledging their uniqueness and dignity and are dedicated to reaching out and serving them through prayer, liturgical celebrations and social ministries. Guided by the Holy Spirit and nourished by the Holy Eucharist, we welcome all people with, respect and compassion. We are vigilant in protecting the rights of the most vulnerable. June 10, 2018 3 Stewardship Follow-Up After our Commitment Sunday, we continue our stewardship program with Follow-Up! What could be more logical!?! Some of us need to think it through as far as the use of our Time & Talent. Some folks are quick studies! They jump right in! Some need more time but reach a good decision in the end! So if you need it, there is still more time. Of course, pray about it. If you ask God to show you in some way about that to do - expect him to answer! God doesn t leave people in the dark - God knows how to tip you off, prompt you or give you a signal! Discuss it with spouse and family - their support is very important! Return the cards by mail or in the collection. You will be contacted and thanked! We ll give you an update soon and show you what the response has been! God Bless you for your generosity! Every First Saturday - join in praying 1000 Hail Marys in the church at 6:30pm The Weekly St. Francis Booster Club Winner is: Michele Eivers! Tickets are $50.00 and are available in the Rectory. Your ticket is entered to win Every Week!

June 10, 2018 4 Time, Talent & Treasure Fostering Stewardship as a way of life Thanks for Giving First Fruits & Taking a Step!!! (Regular Sunday Offertory) May27th s weekly offering:$7,309.00 Last year s weekly offering: $8,580.00 Bulletin Reflection Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden because of their disobedience. But Jesus says in today s Gospel that when we are obedient to God s will - when we use our gifts to serve one another - we become part of His family. Whoever does the will of God is brother and sister and mother to Me. Living Stewardship We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish who, through their stewardship of time and talent, find a deeper relationship with God as they go about sharing their gifts and serving others, especially through our parish ministries. Parish Pilgrimage to the Holy Land October 13-22 Fr. Peter is our Spiritual Guide (206TOURS) Price $3,999.00 All inclusive Call Fr. Peter at Rectory or 206Tours at 1-800-206-8687 June 10-Tenth Sunday of Ordinary Time: Today, Jesus looking around those seated in the circle said, Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother. Through your almsgiving you are indeed doing the will of God and your gift placed in the St. Vincent de Paul poor box indeed brings Christ s love and compassion to the poor. SUNDAY READINGS for next week, June 17th: Ezekiel 17:22 24Every tree of the field will know that I am the Lord. I wither up the green tree, and make the dry tree bloom. 2 Corinthians 5:6 10We would rather leave the body and go home to the Lord. Mark 4:26 34[Jesus said,] But once it is sown, it springs up and becomes the largest of plants and puts forth large branches.
