FOOD BANK: Two weeks ago a one month s worth of donations was taken to the Food Bank 65 pounds of food and $20. Thank you for helping your Washington County neighbors through these difficult times. The April item is cereal (unfrosted). The monthly food items are suggestions to give you some idea of what is needed; it is not intended to limit what you donate to just those items. Please check the expiration dates on food that you donate. Food that is past the expiration date or very close to expiring will have to be thrown away. If you would rather donate cash put it in an envelope marked Food Bank or make a check payable to the Oregon Food Bank and put it in the offering plate. 2014 Telephone Directory Corrections Please make the following corrections to your new directory: Rita Burt s phone number should be 971-226- 1557 Ruth Von Hollen has a new address and phone # : 3334 22nd Ave #104 Forest Grove, OR 97116 503/357-9780 Fellowship Hour Needs You! We need people to help with fellowship time after church. If you enjoy eating the treats, please help us out by taking a Sunday to share with others. Treats do not need to be fancy. Popcorn, store bought cookies, crackers and cheese, veggies or fruit all work well. It is the FELLOWSHIP that counts. Please sign up on the sheets in Sign Up Central and help us fill in our weeks for Spring! Order Your Easter Pastries It is almost upon us Easter and the annual Easter Breakfast and Roll Bake! You will find in the bulletin for the next few weeks the order form for pastries. We will be baking these the day before Easter for you to pick up on Easter morning and take to your party or dinner! These all freeze GREAT and can be enjoyed for months to come.

All profits will be used for two things this year. First, half of it will go to our continued support of the Hearts and Hands Mission in Kunming, China. Hearts and Hands is the mission that trains people in the deaf community for jobs, teaches them Mandarin sign language and outreaches to them through Christ. It is a thriving and growing mission. The other half will go to help scholarship youth to attend Family Camp in September. We want to include ALL our Bethany youth on this wonderful weekend and these funds will help make that happen! Please turn the form in to Jody Jones, Alana Mapes or Amanda Jones or put it in an envelope in the offering plate. Almond Crescent Rolls - light fluffy sweet rolls bursting with an almond butter filling and topped with almond glaze; Blue Ribbon Cinnamon Rolls - as the name indicates they have won many a blue ribbon at County and State fairs...are either frosted or caramel gooey nuts or no nuts, plain or raisin; Cheese Swirl Rolls - are a soft white dough that is rolled out Cinnamon roll-style and filled with a medley of cheeses, then baked and glazed with a drizzle of light butter; Savory Herb Rolls - light rolls flavored with herbs and a hint of garlic. Fill out the order form on the back of this bulletin and give it to Alana Mapes or Jody Jones along with your payment. The orders will be available for you to pick up in freezer bags on Easter morning. ALL the proceeds go to help two very worthy missions in Yunnan, China. Please sign up now...or call us for more info! Easter Breakfast Please plan to attend our annual Easter breakfast with your family and enjoy our fresh baked rolls, egg casseroles, fruit, juice and coffee. This annual tradition will be held on Sunday, April 20th, in the Activity Center from 8:30am (or whenever the Sunrise Service ends in the Sanctuary) until 9:45am. We would love to have you attend. The cost will be a donation to two recipients this year: the Hearts and Hands Mission in China, and a Youth Fund to help pay for Family Camp in September. Bring the crowd and enjoy! A Call For Cooks! Do you like to cook??? Come and help us on Saturday April 19th as we prepare for our Easter breakfast on April 20th. We will be baking rolls, making egg casseroles, prepping fruit and setting tables. Many hands make light work! We will begin at 7:00 AM for the hearty souls, but please let Alana Mapes or Jody. We will be baking until about 4:00p. We have jobs for all ages 8 to 98! Contact details available from the office. Maundy Thursday Service, April 17th, 7:00PM Mark your calendar for this Holy Week Event. On the night of His betrayal, Jesus shared His last Passover meal with His disciples, during which, He gave us the new commandment (mandate; maundy) to love one another as I have loved you. (John 13:34) We hope you will join us on Thursday, April 17th, at 7:00pm, in the Bethany Presbyterian sanctuary for this Holy Week worship service; a biblicallybased re-enactment of the Last Supper followed by Holy Communion. Do this in remembrance of me. (Luke 22:19)

Update from the APNC The Pastor Nominating Committee has been meeting regularly and we have completed the Ministry Information Form (MIF) which explains who we are and what type of associate we need at Bethany. The committee has been through a training session with the Executive of the Presbytery of the Cascades, and has had careful guidance by our Presbytery liaison. Session and Presbytery have approved our MIF. We will soon be receiving Personal Information Forms from applicants. Quilting / Knitting Class Meets Quilts & Shawls will meet on Sat April 12 - from 9:30am to 1:00pm in CE Room 3&4. Prayer Vigil Sign-up Look for the sign-up sheet for the Good Friday Prayer Vigil.
