This Week Sunday, August 9 th 9:45 a.m. Sunday School a class for all ages 11:00 a.m. Worship Service 6:00 p.m. Communion Service Tuesday, August 11 th Thursday, August 13 th LIFE- Link groups will be meeting. This year there is a Tuesday and a Thursday night group as well as several groups meeting on Wednesday. Pick a night, join a group, bring your entire family, and invite your friends to the study entitled, The Book: God s Good News for Mankind. The groups will meet at 7:00 p.m. for this eight week study. Contact the church office or see the bulletin board in the foyer for locations of the groups and more information. Phil Riggs group will be meeting each Wednesday in the chapel for those who would like to meet at church. Thursday, August 13 th The Strategic Planning Committee will meet with the Deacons at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 14 th Rosewood Worship service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 15 th Monthly Men s Meeting at 7:30 a.m. Upcoming Events Sunday, August 30 th Quarterly Business Meeting following our evening service. Going away fellowship for Bruce and Jean Bruni Sunday, September 6 th Andy and Mara Cook will be giving us an update in the PM Service. Welcome Center Ministry We have a need for several people to serve on the Welcome Center ministry team. Please see Don or Sue Denny if you are interested or if you have any questions regarding the ministry. Thank You A special thank you to all those who helped serve this year in our Daily Vacation Bible School. Countless hours were spent in preparing decorations, skits, lessons, crafts and a host of other things before the week even began. We were blessed with a wonderful team of workers who loved the students and faithfully served the Lord. Over 35 people came each day and served in VBS. Many who were not able to be here in person, have diligently prayed and/or brought in supplies. And we thank the Lord for the fruit that has and will come from the approximately 100 boys and girls that attended VBS and heard God s Word this week. The offering project for the week went towards the Lisa Orphange in Rwanda. The children gave $1,182 to help build bunk beds for children at the orphanage. Praise the Lord!
