THE WEEKLY MESSENGER 1358 South Lake Drive Lexington, SC 29073 Week of June 17, 2018 The 5 th Sunday after Pentecost Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? the disciples asked after Jesus stilled the storm. In our Old Testament lesson, God asks Job, Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? God is powerful and beyond our understanding. What we need to know only is that God is inexorably for us. If we remember that God s love cannot be shaken, we will have no fear. Come consider that this Sunday! Pastor Kevin Lutheran Men in Mission June 18 Pastor Kevin will talk about his time in Madagascar and will serve a Malagasy meal! Come find out why Pastor Kevin loves Madagascar (and it s food!). Learn about the ravinala or traveler s palm which is often a symbol of the island nation. Children's Sunday School is out for the summer.

Worship leaders are needed Weekly. See the sign up book in the Narthex or, if you can help for one of the vacancies' call Sharon at 803-359-2122.
