ANNOUNCEMENTS Dear Bethany, 40+3 Anniversary Children s Programme One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. Psalm 145:4 We have a God who does great works and mighty acts! He is deserving of worship and praise! When I was a child in Bethany, Pastors, Teachers, Uncles and Aunties exemplified and taught me what it meant to worship this great God for His works. Now, I have grown to truly appreciate Him for myself and am thankful that I can continue to worship and praise Him meaningfully. Our team will be sharing with the children the wonderful blessings that God has bestowed upon Bethany, and the impact that the Lord has made in our lives through her. By doing so, we hope to help the children see that a response of worship and thanksgiving should be stirred within all of our hearts, and we ought to give glory to God for His works! The Children s Anniversary programme will be planned with ages 5-12 in mind. Please indicate to Mrs Chin Lai Heong or Dns Lay Eng at the sign-up booth if your children would like to join the Children s Anniversary Programme. If you have any queries, please contact me at camilleageorge@gmail.com or 9634 9131. In His Grace, Camille page 6

POETRY CORNER THE GLORY OF THE LORD SHALL BE REVEALED The glory of the Lord was revealed in the days of Moses wondrously, He protected the Children of Israel, day and night, most diligently. In the day a pillar of cloud sheltered Israel from the intense heat of the sun, At night a pillar of fire protected them from wild beasts that could bring harm. But the glory of the Lord however was not fully appreciated by many, They took for granted that God must provide for them aplenty. The children of Israel failed to give thanks but chose instead to complain, Their hearts hardened along the way and they became such a pain! God in His grace promised that He would one day reveal His divine glory, And all flesh shall stand in awe as He unfolded His profound plan plainly. But He must first send a forerunner to prepare for that glorious day, He would send forth His Messiah, and many would rejoice along the way. The children of Israel had failed to appreciate the glory of God revealed, But would we be able to treasure God s glory that had been concealed? The Lord Himself had declared that He would reveal His glory once again, May we have eyes that can see and have hearts that will sing a glad refrain! Inspiration: Isaiah 40:5 Charles Tan page 8

Psalm 66:8-10 Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard, Who keeps our soul among the living, And does not allow our feet to be moved. For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined. WORSHIP 1. A call to bless the Lord a) To give praise b) To cause His praise to be heard clear and loud 2. Reasons for this call to bless the Lord a) He keeps our souls among the living b) He does not allow our feet to be moved c) He has tested and refined us as silver page 9
