Brown, Sr. as he was called from labor to reward. Bro. Brown broke the color barrier in 1974 as West End's first African-American evangelist. He also served as an elder here until his retirement in 2007. He was diligent in service to others especially in visiting those who were sick and bereaved. He was loved and admired throughout the brotherhood and community for his faithfulness, humility, and warm sense of humor. He will be dearly missed. Keep his wife, Barbara Brown, and the family in prayer.
