Get Connected NEXT Steps Our goal is to help people connect with God and with each other. How do people get connected and develop friendships in a church this big? At Free Christian Church we believe that everyone has a next step. If you are interested in meeting people, learning more about the church and how to grow spiritually, here are some good first steps. For Kids/Youth Vacation Bible School July 30-Aug 4, 9am-12noon Come get shipwrecked and have adventures like no other as we dive into God s word and discover buried treasure that can change our lives! VBS is for kids and adults of all ages to either attend or volunteer at. For more information contact Jane, jane.mulcahy@freechristian.org ReFuel Summer Camp August 10-12th, For incoming 6th - 12th graders Contact Javier, javier.roche@freechristian.org Attend an event and meet new people. Check out a small group and share experiences, encouragement, prayer and support. Help with community service.

Summer Small Groups Summer Small Groups Don t drift away from God during the summer. Stay connected with God and with others by joining a summer small group. You are welcome to participate as your schedule allows. Understanding the Bible Seminar Sundays in the Andover Lower Hall, 6:30-7:45pm (starting July 8). This group is for anyone who wants to grow in their relationship with God by reading, understanding and applying scripture. Each week will begin with teaching on one genre of scripture and different ways of engaging with the Bible; followed by practice in small groups. Each week is self-contained so participants are welcome to come when they can. Explore practices that help us stay close to Jesus, using Adele Calhoun s The Spiritual Disciplines Handbook Contact Roselle Heckendorn, roselle.heckendorn@freechristian.org First Loved to Love Small Groups Wednesdays in the Andover Lower Hall, 6:30-8:30pm (starting July 11). This group aims to help people grow in their awareness of God s love for them by practicing the exercises Mark Fee shared with us during the seminar on June 1-2. Each evening will start with 30 minute video teaching by Mark Fee, followed by practice in small groups. DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life s most difficult experiences. Don t go through separation or divorce alone. This weekly video-based small group helps people heal from the pain of divorce. Prayer Room in the Parish House The Prayer Room in the Parish House is available for anyone who would like to pray. We have drop in prayer at the times mentioned below where someone is available to pray with you. Community Service Community Service Mondays (on July 2, Aug. 6, Sept. 3) Help prepare a meal or dessert for Bread & Roses soup kitchen at our FCC kitchen from 6:30-7:30 pm. Contact Diane, DLANDOLFI@PARTNERS.ORG Tuesdays (on July 3, Aug. 7, Sept. 4) Deliver prepared meal for 200 people to Bread & Roses in Lawrence. Nick, nwarne1@verizon.net Friday This Old Church team meets weekly, on Friday mornings 9-12 to repair and maintain the FCC buildings. Some things we do include: landscaping, gardening, painting, small repairs, moving, set-ups, break downs and cleaning, etc. If this time does not work for you, contact Lorna and we can work out something that fits your schedule.
