Operation Christmas Child: Please join us today for a church-wide packing party from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the atrium. We will assemble and pack hundreds of boxes. Additionally, you may drop off your shoeboxes at the atrium today, or at AWANA tonight. Trail Life: Do you have camping equipment that you re not currently using? Our new Trail Life troop is in need of camping equipment and cooking gear for their first camping trip next month. If you have equipment to donate, please contact Duane Shotwell, traillife@communitybiblechurch.us, or bring it to the Beaufort or Bluffton campus before December 1. CBC Toy Tree: Members can register themselves or nominate another CBC family for this year s Toy Tree. You may register now through next Sunday. Be sure and pick up a form at the reception desk. The Toy Tree exists so that the children of unemployed or underemployed CBC members may receive a gift this Christmas. Thank you from our hearts for you prayers, phone calls, cards, gifts, visits, the delicious meals and, most of all, your Christ-like love during Fred s hospital stay and Mamie surgery. With our love, the Eady family. Congratulations to Justin and Julia Boone on the birth of their daughter, Grace Ann. Born on November 10, she weighed 6 lbs, 9 oz and was 19 inches long. 2. 3. AT CALVARY 2 Years I spent in vanity and pride, caring not my Lord was crucified, knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary. Mercy there was great and grace was free, pardon there was multiplied to me; There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary. Now I ve giv n to Jesus ev rything, now I gladly own Him as my King, Now my raptured soul can only sing of Calvary. Mercy there was great and grace was free, pardon there was multiplied to me; There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary. O the love that drew salvation s plan! O the grace that bro t it down to man! O the mighty gulf that God did span at Calvary! Mercy there was great and grace was free, pardon there was multiplied to me; There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary. CLING TO CHRIST Father, I can come to You and boast of deeds I ve done, in my pride I strive to earn the favor Christ has won; He alone pleads my acceptance, all my works aside, so I come with empty hands and I cling to Christ. Father, I can go astray and battle needless fears. Voices tell me I m condemned and that I can t draw near, but Your Spirit calls me homeward with Your words of life. Jesus bore my every sin, so I cling to Christ. (Bridge) It s more than I can do to keep my hold on You, but all my hope and peace is that You cling to me. It s more than I can do to keep my hold on You, but all my hope and peace is that You cling to me. Father, all my earthly aims in time will turn to dust. Let me learn that loss is gain for those who know Your love. All the treasures of this world will never satisfy, You alone are endless joy, so I cling to Christ. You alone are endless joy, so I cling to Christ.
O GREAT GOD 3 O great God of highest heav n, occupy my lowly heart; Own it all and reign supreme, conquer every rebel power. Let no vice or sin remain that resists Your holy war; You have loved and purchased me: Make me Yours forevermore. I was blinded by my sin, had no ears to hear Your voice; Did not know Your love within, had no taste for heaven s joys. Then Your Spirit gave me life, opened up Your Word to me; Through the gospel of Your Son, gave me endless hope and peace. Help me now to live a life that s dependent on Your grace; Keep my heart and guard my soul from the evils that I face. You are worthy to be praised with my every thought and deed; O great God of highest heav n glorify Your Name through me. You are worthy to be praised with my every thought and deed; O great God of highest heav n glorify Your Name through me. FOR THE CAUSE For the cause of Christ the King, we give our lives, an offering til all the earth resounds with ceaseless praise to the Son. For the cause of Christ we go with joy to reap, with faith to sow, as many see and many put their trust in the Son. For the King once lifted high to cries of rage, of crucify! Endured the cross as every sin was laid on the Son. To the King who conquered death to free the poor and the oppressed, for lasting peace, for life and liberty in the Son. Let it be my life s refrain: To live is Christ, to die is gain; Deny myself, take up my cross and follow the Son.
SPEAK O LORD 4 Speak O Lord, as we come to You to receive the food of Your Holy Word. Take Your truth, plant it deep in us: Shape and fashion us in Your likeness, that the light of Christ might be seen today in our acts of love and our deeds of faith. Speak, O Lord, and fulfill in us all Your purposes for Your glory. Teach us, Lord, full obedience, holy reverence, true humility. Test our thoughts and our attitudes in the radiance of Your purity. Cause our faith to rise, cause our eyes to see Your majestic love and authority. Words of pow r that can never fail; Let their truth prevail over unbelief. INVITATION CALVARY COVERS IT ALL Far dearer than all that the world can impart, was the message that came to my heart; How that Jesus alone for my sin did atone, and Calvary covers it all. Calvary covers it all, my past with its sin and stain; My guilt and despair Jesus took on Him there, and Calvary covers it all. The stripes that He bore, and the thorns that He wore told His mercy and love evermore; And my heart bowed in shame as I called on His name, and Calvary covers it all. Calvary covers it all, my past with its sin and stain; My guilt and despair Jesus took on Him there, and Calvary covers it all. How matchless the grace, when I looked on the face of this Jesus my crucified Lord; My redemption complete, I then found at His feet, and Calvary covers it all. Calvary covers it all, my past with its sin and stain; My guilt and despair Jesus took on Him there, and Calvary covers it all. How blessed the thought, that my soul by Him bought, shall be His in the glory on high; Where with gladness and song I ll be one of the throng, and Calvary covers it all. Calvary covers it all, my past with its sin and stain; My guilt and despair Jesus took on Him there, and Calvary covers it all.
OFFERTORY I WILL GLORY IN MY REDEEMER 5 I will glory in my Redeemer, whose priceless blood has ransomed me. Mine was the sin that drove the bitter nails and hung Him on that judgment tree. I will glory in my Redeemer, who crushed the power of sin and death. My only Savior before the holy Judge; The Lamb who is my righteousness, The Lamb who is my righteousness. I will glory in my Redeemer, my life He bought, my love He owns. I have no longings for another; I m satisfied in Him alone. I will glory in my Redeemer, His faithfulness, my standing place. Though foes are mighty and rush upon me, My feet are firm, held by His grace, My feet are firm held by His grace. I will glory in my Redeemer, who carries me on eagles wings. He crowns my life with lovingkindness, His triumph song I ll ever sing. I will glory in my Redeemer, who waits for me at gates of gold; And when He calls me, it will be paradise.
