CRY OUT TODAY FOR GOD S KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM & UNDERSTANDING "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame" (Hosea 4:6,7). "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction" (Proverbs 1:7). "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments" (Psalms 111:10-112:1). "My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path" (Proverbs 1:1-9). "Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not... Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many" (Proverbs 4:5-10). 1

"Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding... The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased" (Proverbs 9:6,10,11). Daniel prayed and said: "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him. I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might, And have now made known to me what we asked of You, For You have made known to us the king's demand." (Daniel 2:20-23). "For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away" (Luke 1:49-53). The scripture verses quoted in the first paragraph of this piece, are meant to provide a strong wakeup call to every believer in the True God, regarding the importance of seeking the knowledge of God and then walking in it! The wonderful and timely Holy Bible quotes which then follow in the next few paragraphs, should in turn generate an intense yearning and desire in us, to want to seriously go after God's wisdom, knowledge and understanding, rather than man's, or this world's. God wants to reveal to us deep and secret things about Himself and the adversary now, that are very critical for our salvation and that would help us overcome Satan and defeat all of his present designs and plans against us. But are we ready for this? If our answer is yes, then are we willing to meet the conditions specified or outlined in the scriptures above and those which now follow? "And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. 2

Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words" (Daniel 10:11; see also, Psalm 25:5). "And all that heard him [Jesus the Christ of God] were astonished at his understanding and answers" (Luke 2:47). "In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them" (Luke 10:21-24; see also, Matthew 18:1-4). "And he [the Lord Jesus Christ] said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures" (Luke 24:45). "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:12-14). The season we are now in, requires and indeed, demands that, not only should we be willing to meet all of the conditions mentioned in the scriptures quoted above for finding knowledge and understanding, but also, that we must in a deliberate and determined manner do the following: 3

(a) Desire and lift up our voices to God, for the knowledge of Himself and other vital and secret, or, hidden things in the realm of the spirit and for, understanding; (b) Continuously examine and chasten ourselves before God; (c) Humble ourselves and be like little children, who do not think that they are mature, experienced and smart; (d) Be open to receive and be ready to act immediately on, or carry out, what may seem to be foolish and unwise thoughts or ideas, especially if they are nondestructive. Whatever God s Spirit is prompting us to do, we must do it today, and not tomorrow. This is because, things move extremely fast in the spirit realm and God is moving faster and faster at the moment. The devil, knowing that his time is getting shorter and shorter, is also moving very fast. "Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee..." (Isaiah 49:8). "...This day is salvation come to this house" (Luke 19:9; see also, Isaiah 49:8). "(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)" (2 Corinthians 6:2) "Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away" (James 4:13,14). At the end of July, in the year 2010, a big Christian gathering took place in Earl's Court, London, U.K. On the opening night, a well-known servant of God who was ministering prophetically, called a few young men to the platform and told them that their 'ministry starts today'. Many wondered what it meant. It was later explained that, 'today' is the constant word that God is currently speaking with a great deal of emphasis on the now element, to all 'Believers' in Jesus Christ, to convey to us the urgency of the moment. 4

The next day, another preacher called out some more brethren, or followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the platform and again gave them a similar 'word'. "...ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?" (Luke 12:56). Indeed, things are happening extremely quickly in the spirit realm at the moment, so let's move with God at his pace and not ours. Having heard From God, whatever He is asking us to say or do, let's now speak and do speedily, whether or not we understand it in a natural sense. "For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God" (Colossians 1:9,10); in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
