Mozart composed a number of Mass settings, many of which were intended for use in the Cathedral (and other churches) in Salzburg, Austria, in the 18 th century. While most churches of the Reform tradition today do not strictly adhere to these texts in their weekly worship, we hope that the enduring beauty of this music, inspired by God and created by one of the greatest musical geniuses of all time, will still speak to worshippers today and in the years to come. 7
