PRAYERS FOR OTHERS Prayer for people This week please pray for those in our congregation family who are in hospital, or in need of prayer. Especially William, Billy, Sally, Peter and Helen. Prayer for Others Summer Camps/Outreach Paul Hutchinson Dates: 1st-8th July 2013 Organisation: Scripture Union Camp Where: Carrickfin This camp is held every summer for young boys in the area. Pray that we would be able to make a meaningful spiritual impact in the lives of the boys that come and for sufficient good weather to allow camp to run (activities, tents not blowing down and all that stuff!) Ruthanna Sheeran Dates: April - 4th August 2013 Organisation: Out of Africa Missions Where: South Africa

Ruthanna has already been in South Africa for over two months. Pray for the continued work she does with the townships and Business Academy as well as for the continued relationships she makes with people. Pray also for the short term mission teams that are arriving throughout summer that Ruthanna helps coordinate. Above all, pray that she knows the presence of God in all she does as He uses her. Keziah May Dates: 18th June - 5th August 2013 Organisation: SL Volunteers Where: Sri Lanka Keziah is involved in a variety of work including teaching at a local primary schools and volunteering at a local psychiatric hospital which helps a variety of people in the aftermath of civil war and tsunamis. Pray for a calmness in the face of the situations I come across, for a real presence of God and for relationships with other team members. Her blog can be read at keziahgoestosrilanka.tumblr.com Alex Cameron Dates: 5th July - mid August Organisation: Operation Restoration Christian School Where: Trench Town, Jamaica Trench Town is an inner city area controlled by gang warfare. The aim of the school is to give young people an option out of that sort of lifestyle through education. Alex is involved in teaching at the local school as well as other areas that she doesn t know about yet! So far I don't know whether I'm going to spend 6 weeks making tea and coffee, teaching a class of children or involved in conflict negotiation! But my trust is fully in God knowing that he has placed me on the journey there and will have a plan in place even if I don't know it! Prayers for safety and wisdom would be much appreciated as well as prayers for all those attending the summer school. If you wish to receive regular video diary emails from alex email her at alex.s.cameron@hotmail.co.uk to be added to the list. Susan Caroll, William Dalrymple, Cherith McKeown & Carolyn Saunderson Dates: 6th-20th July 2013 Organisation: CSSM Where: Portballintrae The camp is for children/young people aged 4-18 years old. Many families come back every year. God has touched many children and families that maybe have no other contact with church. Pray for God to guide and speak to the team as

they plan the programme, that God will work in the hearts of the children and families He brings along, that the team will bond and use the rich diversity of talents of the leaders we are blessed with (55 this year) and for practical issues over the 2 weeks, i.e. safety, lots if energy to combat tiredness. Many thanks! Gareth Clegg, Matthew Little & Jordan Magrath Dates: mid July-mid August Organisation: Out of Africa Missions Where: South Africa The three amigos are spending a month working with Out of Africa Missions doing whatever needs done. (They have all been there before on teams.) Pray that God would use them beyond what they could imagine, that previous relationships can be picked up easily and that they d be aware of God speaking to them throughout all the work they do. If you, or someone else you know at Fisherwick, are part of a summer team and are not included on the list please forward appropriate details to office@fisherwick.net to be included in following order of services. CHURCH NOTICES SMALL GROUPS Small Groups meet fortnightly, mostly in homes across Belfast. Each group is unique in style and format but they all exist for people to meet together, form real relationships and encourage one another as we live life following Jesus. If you would like to meet new people and grow in your faith then join a small group. For information about Small Groups in Fisherwick check out the information boards beside the Coffee Bar, the website or contact the Church Office. The small group Coordinators are Peter and Linda Little. SUMMER CLUB 12-16 August In order to make Summer Club a successful week we need lots of people to help in a range of ways. We need leaders and others to work directly with the children. We also need people to help in a variety of support roles - eg registration, catering. If you can assist in any way please sign the list at the back of church or speak to Fiona Skelly or Gary McDowell.

Fisherwick Summer Teaching Programme Jesus told many unique and powerful stories. This summer we will explore some of the parables that Jesus taught. Come and join in the journey at 11am each Sunday. Who is your favourite Bible character? The Bible is full of intriguing characters.
