Discuss Brief Share or Elevator Speech What is Healing Touch? 12:00-1:00- Practice Session: Do Half Hour Intake Interview (30 min. each) -Be sure to note start time and mention end time; discuss time awareness for Practitioner. -Have clients leave room and be greeted by practitioners as if in a clinical setting. -Use intake form from back of Notebook (have extra copies available)- Do Energy Assessment -Set Intention for session-word it positive (i.e. instead of decrease pain say increase comfort ) -For charting, have colored pencils available if they want to use them. 1:00-1:05- Group Process after both partners have been the practitioner - Have them give their feedback to each other of what worked and what didn t work. (How was that for you?) - Ask: Were you tempted to tell your story? Did you have time awareness? (How did it feel being in a professional role? Did it feel good? Is it coming together for you- assessing the energy field and the intake? How did you answer What is HT? 1:05-2:05- Lunch- 1 Hour Day One- Afternoon 2:05-3:05- Spiral Meditation-pg. 84, pg. 192 Joy s Way Description of Spiral Meditation Have them trace finger on picture-pg. 86 Clockwise-opening the spiral Counterclockwise-closing the spiral Do brief heart centering meditation followed by having them go quickly through spiraling on their own body. Have them close spiral on self. -explain that we are closing the pattern not closing the chakras; this allows for integration and normal boundaries. Demo Spiral Meditation with helper on the table Practice Session: Have them get with a partner (a different one than they had for the Intake Interview) Have practitioners Ground, Center and Attune (can set protection by visualizing a chrysalis of light expanding out from the heart center) Voice Guide through the steps with 1 minute at each hand placement. After Opening-have the client get up slowly and walk around the table to see how it feels to be open. (explain that this is only for teaching purposes) Close spiral Trade Partners and Repeat Group Process Ask: what do you think the difference is between Chakra Connection and Spiral Meditation? 4

Body Centered Interview Energy Centers are master regulators that govern our life, loves, learning, health, and illness. Energy Centers are a recording device for everything that has ever happened to us. Doing a self-assessment is the first step in "awakening the healer-within" - to listen to and understand what our body is telling us.
