Tijo Mullakkara (267 346 3026) Sunday School: Sundays at 1:50 PM M e s s a g e F r o m F r. T i j o M u l l a k k a r a Dear Saint Jude Family, Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! No birth has so changed or transformed the world like that of Christ s. Oh! God Himself came down to visit us. He did not become an angel He was not born in a mansion He loved us so much that he became man (The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us) and born in a manger and xxtaught us Love. I don t understand the depth of His love for man. Why did He want to become a man? Why, when billions of angels adored and worshipped him, did he want to dwell among the ungrateful and pride humans who would crucify him? Why did He humble Himself so much, when man would care so less about humility? Why would he come to those who would reject Him and still less would recognize Him as their savior? Why in the manger was he born? So many questions. We have to always bear in mind the cry of the Psalmist who had a glimpse of the Majesty of the Lord and the nothingness of man: Lord, what is man that Thou regard him, or the son of man that Thou think of him? (Psalms 144, 3). We don t understand a thing about his birth if He doesn t Whisper in my heart, I am here to save you (Psalms 35, 3). God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him may not perish and have eternal life (John 3, 16). The answer for the questions I have would be God s desire to save man. There are lots of celebrations in Christmas, which are good. At the same time, If the deep love of God and His desire to save us doesn t touch me or you, we gain nothing (1Corinthians 13, 3). One of the most of important thing is meditation. I d recommend you to read the birth of Jesus and meditate to understand the unconditional, willful and selfless Love and His desire to save us. Trustees: Jilson Joseph (703 599 6748) Regi Alexander (703 636 1995) Paul Pottanat (703 790 1933) Let us also prepare a place in our hearts for Jesus. Behold.I knock at the door of your heart (Revelations 3, 20). Is there a place for Jesus to be born in our hearts again? Or our hearts are full with other things? Do we recognize that He is here for our salvation? May Good Lord in the Manger Bless you Merry Christmas, Tijoachan
