OK, so Greg and Kim aren t really leaving the church. But after more than eight years on staff as the Pathways worship leader, Greg Graham has announced that his last Sunday on staff will be May 27. We want to honor them and thank them in true Oak Hill UMC fashion. Please join us this Sunday, May 20, 11:15 a.m. 12:45 p.m. in Fellowship Hall! Got Questions? We Need Your Input! Church Council Meeting Scheduled June 3 Sunday, June 3 12:30 p.m. Sanctuary There will be a special called Church Council meeting on Sunday, June 3, at 12:30 p.m. to vote whether or not to continue employing a uniformed police officer on Sunday mornings. The security committee will inform the council of the survey results and make its recommendation. All council members are urged to attend.

Mark will also be the speaker for the morning s program. Don t miss it! Oak Hill Parkway Project Meeting Thursday, May 24 7 p.m. Bowie High School, 4103 W. Slaughter Lane TxDOT is proposing an upgraded, state-of-the-art roadway consisting of three mainlanes for through traffic in each direction, as well as two-to-three frontage-road lanes in each direction between Joe Tanner on the north to just past Circle Drive on US 290 to the south and then onto SH 71 to Silvermine Drive. An overpass for the US 290 mainlanes over William Cannon Drive would be built, along with flyovers between US 290 and SH 71. At this location, the US 290 mainlanes would be depressed, or go under, SH 71 at the Y. For more information: www.oakhillparkway.com. A public hearing will be held Thursday, May 24, at Bowie High School (4103 W. Slaughter Lane) for public review of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement and project materials. The hearing will begin with an open house from 6:15 to 7 p.m., where the public can review project information and exhibits. The formal presentation to announce the findings of the study and present the key design elements will begin at 7 p.m. A public comment period will follow. AED/CPR/First Aid Training Saturday, May 26 10 a.m. Room A205, Adult Education Building There is room for six additional students! The training covers basic first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). The cost is free. Children s News VBS Is Just a Month Away; the Fun Begins June 11 Still needed: three more adult (OVER 18) volunteers for VBS. Oak Hill UMC Women Invited to Attend Mission U July 13-15 Kerrville, TX All women in the church are invited to attend Mission U and learn about the missions of the United Methodist Church. There are several seminars you can choose to attend. It is an opportunity to meet women from other conferences, enjoy the beautiful campus, eat great food, and take a dip in a swimming pool! Children are welcome. The Oak Hill United Methodist Women can provide two full scholarships (or four half scholarships). Car pooling can be arranged. You can go for one day or all three days. The cost includes housing on campus.
