Asbury Seminary also offers this cohort in a bilingual (Spanish/English) format in Orlando, Fla., for Latino/a ministry leaders. Cohort COHORT CONCENTRATIONS ABOUT THE DOCTOR OF MINISTRY PROGRAM You ll travel together through the 3-year program with a cohort of 20 25 seasoned leaders in ministry, from the U.S. and all over the world. God uses this collaborative, global learning community to transform you, both personally and professionally. The ultimate priority of Scripture as well as the lenses of reason, experience, and tradition - undergird the curriculum of our Doctor of Ministry program. Our commitment to careful inquiry, dialogue and contextual application creates dynamic exchanges with both your faculty and your peers, as you: Gather for three annual residencies of two weeks each; Work with a dissertation coach to guide you through your Ministry Transformation Project (dissertation) research and writing; Complete your 30-hour degree in as few as three years. More than a solely theoretical exercise, the Ministry Transformation Project starts with a passionate puzzle about an issue in your ministry context. Your project will impact both your current ministry and the future ministry of others your church and the Church. Through your courses, you ll enjoy the rigor and formative nature of topics such as biblical interpretation, spirituality of the leader, theology of ministry, and the missional heart of God. Carolyn Moore, Founding Pastor, Mosaic Church (Evans, Ga.) 2015 D.Min. Cohort FACULTY Dr. Winfield Bevins has a passion for equipping others to spread the gospel in their own context. He serves as the Director of Asbury Seminary s Church Planting Initiative. He is also canon for church planting for the Diocese of the Carolinas. As a seasoned practitioner, he has used his experience to train leaders from diverse backgrounds on three different continents. He frequently speaks at conferences, churches, seminaries and retreats on a variety of topics. He is the author of several books, including Plant: A Sower s Guide to Church Planting and Grow at Home: A Beginner s Guide to Family Discipleship. Dr. Bryan Collier is the Founding Pastor and also the Lead Pastor and Ministry Coach at The Orchard: A United Methodist Congregation in Tupelo, Miss. Prior to planting The Orchard, he served four pastorates in the Mississippi and Kentucky Annual Conferences of The United Methodist Church. Collier has more than 20 years of experience in pastoral ministry. His interests and expertise include leadership issues, church for the un-churched and cultural dissection.
