June 11, 2017 First Sunday after Pentecost Trinity Sunday God in Three Persons Today is Trinity Sunday, where we explore and contemplate the mystery that there is One God, but three persons: Creator, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Over the centuries, this has caused a lot of disagreement about what this even means (some Christians reject the idea entirely), and to us can seem confusing and mystical. But rather than think too hard about what it is supposed to be, let s think about what it can mean for us and how we relate to God as both three-in-one and one-in-three. GATHERING AS ONE Processional Hymn VU 315 Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty The grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And also with you. Territorial Acknowledgement We honour the Sinixt, Ktanaxa, Shwepemc, and Syilx First Nations and recognize that we gather on their traditional lands.
