In addition to our normal expenses, we recently have had two major emergency repair jobs at our fifty year old convent building: The bathroom outside the Adoration Chapel continually flooded. It was determined that there was a blockage somewhere under the library. Rather than dig up the library, our contractors were able to run a new sewer line that connects outside the building. All the carpeting had to be replaced. The power service to our convent failed. The remedy was to replace it with brand new underground electrical cable. This job includes the clearing of trees for 100 yards/20 foot wide. The estimated scope of all this work is at least $20,000.00.
