Amen.

Let us draw near with a true heart and confess our sins to God. (Silence is kept for reflection). God our maker and redeemer, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed. We come for refuge to your infinite mercy. You have given your only Son to die for us; have mercy on us, and for his sake, forgive us all our sin. By your Holy Spirit, increase in us true knowledge of you and your will, and true obedience to your word, that by your grace we may come to everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Almighty God has had mercy on us, and God's only Son has been given to die for us, and for his sake God + forgives us all our sin. Believing in Jesus' name, you have received power to become the children of God; you have received the gift of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let us pray together Almighty God, your sovereign purpose brings salvation to birth. Give us faith to be steadfast amid the tumults of this world, trusting that your kingdom comes and your will is done through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen Congregation may be seated CHILDREN S MESSAGE SCRIPTURE SONG -- From The Inside Out A thousand times I've failed Still Your mercy remains And should I stumble again Still I'm caught in Your grace Everlasting Your light will shine when all else fades Never-ending Your glory goes beyond all fame Your will above all else My purpose remains The art of losing myself In bringing You praise Everlasting Your light will shine when all else fades Never-ending Your glory goes beyond all fame

He exhorts the listener: Do not be alarmed. As Jesus came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher, what large stones and what large buildings!" Then Jesus asked him, "Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left here upon another; all will be thrown down." When he was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately, Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign that all these things are about to be accomplished? Then Jesus began to say to them, "Beware that no one leads you astray. Many will come in my name and say, 'I am he!' and they will lead many astray. When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed; this must take place, but the end is still to come. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. This is but the beginning of the birth pangs. I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.* On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen PRAYERS OF INTERCESSION The prayers will be offered in petitions ending in Lord, in your mercy. The congregation will respond, Hear our prayer PEACE The peace of Christ be with you always. And also with you. The people may greet one another with a sign of Christ's peace, and may say, "Peace be with you," or similar words. Please remain standing after this. OFFERING PRAYER Merciful God, as grains of wheat scattered upon the hills were gathered together to become one bread, so let your church be gathered together from the ends of the earth into your kingdom, for yours is the glory through Jesus Christ, now and forever. Amen. The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give God thanks and praise. HOLY COMMUNION

It is indeed right, our duty and our joy, that we should at all times and in all places give thanks and praise to you, almighty and merciful God, through our Savior Jesus Christ; who on this day overcame death and the grave, and by his glorious resurrection opened to us the way of everlasting life. And so, with all the choirs of angels, with the church on earth and the hosts of heaven, we praise your name and join their unending hymn: In the night in which he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus took bread, and gave thanks; broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take and eat; this is my body, given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me.

Again, after supper, he took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it for all to drink, saying: This cup is the new covenant in my blood, shed for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin. Do this for the remembrance of me Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen Goodness is stronger than evil. Life is stronger than death. Taste the goodness and life of God. As you come forward receive the bread from the Pastor and then dip it in the cup held by the Communion Assistant. Then partake of the elements together. You may return to your place by using the side aisle. The Praise Band will be singing during distribution. You are welcome to sing along.

PRAYER AND BLESSING O God, you have called your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go, but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. The love of God who created you, the mercy of + Jesus Christ who died for you, and the power of the Holy Spirit who strengthens you, keep you at one with all the faithful, living and departed, and remain with you now and forever. Amen. SENDING SONG I m So Glad Jesus Lifted Me #673 in With One Voice (Blue Book) Go in peace to love and serve the Lord Thanks be to God!
