Glory to You, Lord Christ. Luke 19:11-27 (p. 852) The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to You, Lord Christ. MESSAGE Sermon Series: This Is Love No Fear in Love Rev. Patrick Dominguez THE APOSTLES CREED (said together) I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church*, the Communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. * The phrase holy catholic Church in the Creed means the Church worldwide. 3

PRAYERS OF GOD S PEOPLE Heavenly Father, we praise and thank you this day for the mothers in our lives. For the unconditional love you instill in their souls, and the sacrifices they make for their children. Bless every woman at the beginning of motherhood, caring for newborn babies and toddlers. Bless every mother raising teenage sons and daughters. Bless all single mothers, and strengthen them for their calling. Bless every woman called to love and nurture the child of another. Bless each young girl among us, and lead them to love and serve you. Bless the young women among us, learning to serve you in their work, families, and friendships. Bless every grandmother who cares for their adult children and grandchildren. Bless all mothers grieving the loss of a child. Bless and comfort women who yearn to know the calling of motherhood. Make yourself known to mothers who have yet to put their faith in Christ. For all mothers who now share in your heavenly banquet, give us joyful memories of how they cared for and loved us. Bless every woman present today. Keep them healthy in body, mind and spirit. Let them turn to you when they struggle, and rejoice when they see you provide. Let us take a moment either silently or aloud to pray for the needs in our church and in the world. Almighty God, who has promised to hear the prayers of those who ask in your Son's Name: Mercifully incline your ear to us and grant that those things which we have asked faithfully according to your will, may be obtained according to our needs, and for the praise of your glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Now, trusting in the kindness and love of God our savior, let us humbly confess our sins to our Lord: 4

CONFESSION OF SIN (said together) Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep, we have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts, we have offended against your holy laws, we have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and we have done those things which we ought not to have done. O Lord, have mercy upon us, spare those who confess their faults, restore those who are penitent, according to your promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord; that we may live godly, righteous, and sober lives, to the glory of your holy name. Amen. The absolution of sin is to be pronounced by a priest who symbolically stands in the authority of God to forgive the sins of those who truly repent (Matthew 16:19, John 20:23). Almighty God have mercy on you, forgive you all your sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen you in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep you in eternal life. Amen. The peace of the Lord be always with you; And also with you. WELCOME and OFFERING The Lion And The Lamb 1 He's coming on the clouds Kings and kingdoms will bow down And every chain will break As broken hearts declare His praise For who can stop the Lord almighty Our God is the Lion, the Lion of Judah He's roaring with power and fighting our battles And every knee will bow before Him Our God is the Lamb, the Lamb that was slain For the sin of the world His blood breaks the chains And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb Every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb 2 So open up the gates Make way before the King of kings Our God who comes to save Is here to set the captives free For who can stop the Lord almighty For who can stop the Lord almighty For who can stop the Lord almighty Brenton Brown Brian Johnson Leeland Mooring 2015 Meaux Mercy Thankyou Music The Devil Is A Liar! HOLY COMMUNION (All baptized and believing followers of our Lord Jesus Christ are invited to partake in Holy Communion regardless of denomination. It is our custom to use wine during communion. If you prefer, you may receive grape juice from the smaller chalices on the end of the serving lines. If it would not be authentic for you to receive Communion, you may remain in your seat and contemplate the prayers on the following page.) Is the Father with us? Is Christ among us? Is the Spirit here? This is our God. We are His people. Lift up your hearts. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. He is. He is. He is. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are redeemed. We lift them up to the Lord. It is right to give Him thanks and praise. Leader continues in Eucharistic Prayer Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. THE LORD S PRAYER (said together) Our Father who art in Heaven Hallowed be Thy name Thy kingdom come Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those Who trespass against us And lead us not into temptation But deliver us from evil For thine is the Kingdom And the power and the glory Forever and ever Amen Unable to come forward? Please inform an usher to request that Communion be brought to you. Gluten-free wafers available upon request. 6

PRAYERS FOR THOSE NOT TAKING HOLY COMMUNION The Church of The Apostles welcomes all Christians who are willing to forsake their sin and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, to receive Holy Communion with us by coming forward to one of the communion stations at the front. If you are not able to receive Communion, please use this time to meditate on one of the following prayers. Prayer for Those Searching for Truth. Jesus, you claim to be the way, the truth and the life. Grant that I might be undaunted by the cost of following you as I consider the reasons for doing so. If what you claim is true, please guide me, teach me and open me to the reality of who you are. Give me an understanding of you that is coherent, convincing and that leads to the life you promise. Thank you. Prayer of Belief. Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am weaker and more sinful than I ever dared admit, but through you I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope. I thank you for paying my debt on the cross, taking what I deserved in order to offer me complete forgiveness. Knowing that you have been raised from the dead, I turn from my sins and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Please come into my life through the power of your Holy Spirit. Thank you. A prayer team is available to pray with you at the back of the worship area.
