Hello there my dear parishioners and friends! Over the last two years of being your Pastor I have heard and been accused of the following, several times: Playing favorites. Nothing could be further from the truth. Being Pastor of two places is like being a parent of more than one child. Every so often one child will need more attention than the other and so the parent is accused of playing favorites. I try my best to give equal time and care to the various needs and functions of both parishes. Yes, it is true that I live at one and even maintain my office there. Though I vary my meeting place at where the person(s) belong or where is closest. I do have the weekday Masses at the Chapel of one place that allows me to turn off or down the Heat and A/C of the two large church buildings. And there is only one Saturday 4 PM Mass between the two places that rotates throughout the year in fact, in October it changes locale! In an effort to make the people from the other parish feel more comfortable, I do make an effort to invite them to take part in the liturgy. I did that to Holy Ghost when the Mass moved to Incarnation and now am doing that to Incarnation as we move back to Holy Ghost. If you want to be the Lector or Eucharistic Minister at any Mass, just let Beth or Ron know at their respective Rectories. When a parishioner, from either place, is in the hospital, I do make an effort to be there, IF I KNOW IT. So, my friends, if you think I play favorites, just remember these things. Am I perfect? No, far from it. But I assure you, that when needed, if I am able, I will be there for you as well as the person sitting next to you or the person in the Parish less than a mile down the road. God Bless, Fr. Cliff Fall Festival Tricky Trays Our Tricky Tray Committee is reminding all donors that only NEW ITEMS will be accepted for baskets and items can be dropped off in LaBuda Hall @ our weekend Masses!
