Draw a picture of something you can do to help your mummy and daddy when you get home. E.g.: help Mummy and Daddy put the grocery away: Other things you can do to help are: Clean you room Tidy your toys Put you dirty plate in the sink after eating Look after your little brother or sister Put away your clothes when you change Tareekh Page 1.19 www.alrasoolcenter.org

LESSON 1.9: IMAM ALI ZAINUL ABIDEEN (AS): Our 4 th Imam, Imam Zainul Abideen (AS), was a very kind and patient person. He usually had a smile on his face, and hardly ever got angry. One day, when Imam (AS) was walking with some friends, he saw an old man carrying something very heavy, while his son walked next to him. All his friends were very surprised, and asked what had made him so angry. Imam (A.S.) replied that he was angry to see a son walking next to his father without helping him. Moral: You should always help your parents, even when they do not ask you to. E.g.: you can help look after your younger brothers or sisters, or tidy up your toys after you have finished playing with them. Tareekh Page 1.18 www.alrasoolcenter.org

LESSON 2.5: IMAM MUHAMMAD AL-BAQIR (AS): It was a very hot day and a man was walking past our 5 th Imam s farm. He saw Imam Muhammad al-baqir working very hard on the farm, looking hot and tired. He told the Imam that he should sit down and rest, and not work so hard. Imam Muhammad al-baqir answered that he was working so hard so that he could look after his family, and not have to ask anyone for help. Allah likes for us to work hard and do things for ourselves. Moral: You should always try hard to do something by yourself, and only when you have tried and cannot do it, should you ask for help Tareekh Page 2.14 www.alrasoolcenter.org

WORKSHEET 2.5: IMAM MUHAMMAD AL-BAQIR (AS): Tell your parents why Imam Muhammad Al-Baqir (AS) was working very hard on his farm on a very hot day. Colour in the pictures of the different work the people are doing: Now draw below a type of work that you can do to help your family. Tareekh Page 2.15 www.alrasoolcenter.org

LESSON 2.6: IMAM JA FAR AS-SADIQ (AS): In the time of Imam Ja'far as-sadiq (AS) there lived a young man called Zakariya who had converted from Christianity to Islam. On his way to Haj, Zakariya stopped in Madina to visit Imam Ja'far as-sadiq (AS). Zakariya asked the Imam how he should behave towards his family who were still Christians. Imam replied that parents should be greatly respected in Islam, and told Zakariya to be kinder and more helpful to his mother than he had ever been. When Zakariya returned home, he was much more respectful and helpful to his old mother than before. He gave her food and drink with his own hands. He washed her clothes and kept the house tidy. And he would hug and kiss her all the time. His mother was very surprised but very happy with her son, and asked Zakariya what had made him become so kind towards her. When Zakariya explained about our 6 th Imam (AS), his mother wanted to know more about Islam. Zakariya told her all about the teachings of Islam and when he had finished; his mother became a Muslim too. Moral: Always behave with good Akhlaq towards other people and never forget the rights of your parents. Tareekh Page 2.16 www.alrasoolcenter.org

WORKSHEET 2.6: IMAM JA FAR AS-SADIQ (AS) Our 6 th Imam (AS) has taught us always to be kind and helpful to our parents. Draw 3 pictures of how you can help your Mummy and Daddy: E.g.: By keeping our room tidy: Tareekh Page 2.17 www.alrasoolcenter.org

LESSON 2.7: IMAM MUSA AL-KADHIM (AS): One day Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (AS) passed by a poor man. The Imam greeted him and talked to him for a while, asking him if everything was all right. Before he went, the Imam told the man that if there was anything that he could do for the man then he would do it. The followers of Imam were unhappy that Imam had been so nice to this poor, ordinary man. They told Imam it did not look right for someone as important as the Imam to talk to and help someone so ordinary. Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (AS) replied that Allah has created all men equal. Being rich or better dressed doesn t mean you are better than someone else. BETTER Also if a person is poor today, it does not mean that he will stay poor all his life. The same goes for a rich person. So someone who needs help from you today may be the same person who will help you tomorrow. Moral: In Islam everyone is equal, and Allah is the giver of things, so being rich or better dressed does not mean you are better than someone else. Obeying Allah makes us better than those who do not obey Allah. Tareekh Page 2.18 www.alrasoolcenter.org

WORKSHEET 2.7: MUSA AL-KADHIM (AS): In Islam, everyone is equal. Colour all these people: Tareekh Page 2.19 www.alrasoolcenter.org

LESSON 2.8: IMAM ALI AR-RIDHA (AS): The servants of King Ma'mun were very angry that he had made Imam Ali Ar-Ridha (AS) his successor. To show the Imam that they did not respect him, the servants decided that they would not open the doors, or lift up the curtains for Imam to pass through when he came to the court. That day when Imam Ali Ar-Ridha (AS) came to the court, the doors and curtains opened by themselves for Imam, under the command of Allah. The servants became very scared and ashamed and resumed their duty of opening the doors and curtains for Imam. Moral: No-one can do anything to you when Allah is looking after you, as Allah is the most powerful and in control of everything. Tareekh Page 2.20 www.alrasoolcenter.org

WORKSHEET 2.8: IMAM ALI AR-RIDHA (AS): Colour the door and curtains, and Tell your parents what happened when the naughty servants decided not to open the doors and curtains for our 8 th Imam, Imam Ali Ar-Ridha (AS) Tareekh Page 2.21 www.alrasoolcenter.org

LESSON 3.3: IMAM MUHAMMAD AT-TAQI (a.s.): When our 9 th Imam, Imam Muhammad At-Taqi (a.s.) was only 9 years old, his father our 8 th Imam, Imam Ali Ar-Ridha (a.s.) was killed by the king Ma'mun. Ma'mun decided that he would try to buy lots of things and bribe Imam Muhammad At-Taqi (a.s.) and make him live the same way of life because Imam (a.s.) was still only a child. So, Ma'mun took Imam Muhammad At-Taqi (a.s.) to his palace and gave him what ever money could buy, but Imam (a.s.) was not interested, because he knew Allah could give him much much more. No matter how much Ma'mun gave him, Imam (a.s.) did not do anything against Allah's commands as Ma'mun wished. Moral: Whatever anyone gives you always remember that Allah can give you so much more but only if you are a good Muslim and do as Allah tells you. WORKSHEET 3.3: IMAM MUHAMMAD AT-TAQI (a.s.): If someone was to give you all the things below would you listen to that person or Allah? Why? What did our 9 th Imam, Imam Muhammad At-Taqi (a.s.) do when Ma'mun tried to buy him everything? He:. Tareekh Page 3.7 www.alrasoolcenter.org

LESSON 3.4: IMAM ALI AN-NAQI (a.s.): Once in the time of our 10 th Imam, Imam Ali An-Naqi (a.s.), a man came to Imam (a.s.) and told him that if Imam (a.s.) did not help him, he would be killed. Imam Ali an-naqi (A) asked the man to explain. The man explained that he had been given an expensive stone by the King and told to write something on it. The man continued that when he went to write on it, the stone broke in half and when the king would find out, he would kill the man. Imam Ali an-naqi (A) prayed for the man, then told the man not to worry, and that Allah would look after him. The next day when the king came to pick up his stone, the man was shaking because he was so scared. The king told the man that he had changed his mind and now wanted the stone broken in half, one piece for each one of his two daughters, with the writing on each half of the stone. Moral: No matter what trouble you are faced with always trust in Allah and ask for His help as He can make anything happen. Tareekh Page 3.8 www.alrasoolcenter.org

WORKSHEET 3.4: IMAM ALI AN-NAQI (a.s.): Tell your parents how our 10 th Imam, Imam Ali an-naqi (A) helped the man who broke the expensive stone. Tareekh Page 3.9 www.alrasoolcenter.org

LESSON 3.5: IMAM HASAN AL-ASKARI (a.s.): Once in the time of our 11 th Imam, Imam Hasan Al-Askari (a.s.), there lived a man who only had a little money left. Now this man was scared about what he was going to do when even this little bit of money finished, so he decided to hide this money by digging a hole in his garden and putting it there. The man then went to Imam Hasan Al-Askari (a.s.) and told him that he had no money and needed Imam's help. Imam Hasan Al-Askari (a.s.) gave the man a whole bag of money and told him that the Imams (a.s.) always help anyone that asks them for help, so there had been no need for him to have lied. Imam Hasan Al-Askari (a.s.) continued that the man should be grateful for whatever Allah has given him. Imam (a.s.) then told him that the money that he had hidden would not be there when he would need it. The man realised what he had done was wrong. Later when the man needed some more money, he went to dig out the money that he had hidden and found it gone. His son had found out about it and taken it. Exactly like Imam Hasan Al-Askari (a.s.) had said, that when he would need the money it would not be there. Moral: - You should trust in Allah to look after you. - You should thank Allah for whatever He has given you. - You should never lie, as you will be found out. Even if no-one finds out, Allah knows. Tareekh Page 3.10 www.alrasoolcenter.org

WORKSHEET 3.5: IMAM HASAN AL-ASKARI (a.s.): Tell your parents what our 11 th Imam, Imam Hasan al-askari (a.s.), told the man who asked him for money saying he had none, when he did. Colour the picture and answer the question: What did our 11 th Imam, Imam Hasan Al-Askari (a.s.) say when the man told him he had no money? Imam Hasan Al-Askari (a.s.) said: Tareekh Page 3.11 www.alrasoolcenter.org

LESSON 2.9: IMAM MUHAMMAD AL-MAHDI (AS): One day, a good man called Syed Muhammad Amili was travelling through the desert with a group of people, when he got lost. Syed Amili searched and searched for his group but could not find them. It soon became dark. He was tired, hungry, frightened and alone in the hot desert. He was preparing to die when suddenly he saw some water. He went to the water, drank some and then did Wudhu and prayed his Salaat. After his Salaat he felt very weak, and just lay there. All of a sudden he saw a person riding a horse getting closer and closer to him. When the rider reached Syed Amili, he greeted him and asked him what the matter was. Syed Amili explained that he was lost and hungry. On hearing this, the rider asked why Syed Amili had not eaten the melons that were behind him. Syed Amili turned around, and was surprised to find some melons. The rider then told him to eat one melon and take the rest with him and pointed out the direction he was to go in to find his group. Then the rider disappeared. Syed Amili then realised that it was our 12 th Imam, Imam Muhammad al-mahdi (AS), who had helped him. Syed Amili reached his group safely. Moral: Although we cannot see our 12 th Imam, he can see us and he knows when we need his help, and he comes to help us. Tareekh Page 2.22 www.alrasoolcenter.org

WORKSHEET 2.9: IMAM MUHAMMAD MAHDI (AS): When Syed Amili saw water in the desert, he drank some of it, then did Wudhu and prayed his Salaat. Colour the picture of someone praying their Salaat: Tareekh Page 2.23 www.alrasoolcenter.org
